chocolatechip15 Posted August 12, 2014 at 02:44 AM Posted August 12, 2014 at 02:44 AM So tragic - so sad for his family and friends. What a gifted man. I have so many childhood memories tied up with him. ..I remember watching Mork and Mindy reruns with my brother in elementary school (Nanoo Nanoo!); dissolving in hysterical laughter over Mrs. Doubtfire; crying to Good Will Hunting; being touched by Dead Poets Society. . . he impacted so many lives for the better. RIP Robin. 5 Quote
Prima_Donna1 Posted August 12, 2014 at 03:18 AM Posted August 12, 2014 at 03:18 AM (edited) Wow. I am shocked, saddened, and in disbelief about this. Just like the deaths of MJ and Whitney, i cannot fathom him being gone. This is why getting help for depression is very important. I loved some if the movies he starred in like; The voice over as the genie in Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Birdcage, and so many others i cant think of. He will be missed. Angel2006 Posted August 12, 2014 at 07:30 PM Posted August 12, 2014 at 07:30 PM I found out about Robin's tragic passing while watching Young And The Restless, during a news break. I had the t.v. on mute and read the words breaking news, Well known Canadian actor dead. I turned up the volume and all I heard was, well known canadian actor dies at 63. Will have more detail about Williams death later. I was thinking, who could that be and then I realized Oh know, not Robin Williams. All I heard was the last name Williams and I was praying that it wasn't Robin, but sadly it was. I was in such shock the whole day and still am. Robin was one of my favorite actors. I'm from the generation of Mrs. Doughtfire. I grew up with that movie and was obsessed with it and still am to this day. Robin made so many amazing film in his acting career that will go down in History. He just finished filming A Night At The Museum 3. It's going to be so sad to watch, but sadly his films are all we have of him now and I'm going to cherish them forever. R.I.P. Robin Williams! I will miss you so much. 2 Quote
Boy Posted August 12, 2014 at 09:39 PM Posted August 12, 2014 at 09:39 PM Oh my God, this is so frustrating. And you know, something weird happened to me about a month ago. I started watching movies with Robin Williams. I mean, there's nothing wrong about watching movies with him but i went sorta obsessive, kinda like a compulsive idea... I've always loved Robin, a brilliant actor but i started watching movies with him just like one after another, one after another, i never even bothered to check the desription, i just kept on watching, u know. So it's like my brain felt the need for his movies while he was still alive, like i had this feeling in the back of my mind that we're observing the final countdown. Anyway... I must sound crazy. RIP, Robin. You'll be missed forever and i hope now he knows for sure what dreams may come. 4 Quote Love comes to those who believe it...

I could not imagine my childhood without him. He taught us all to laugh and even to cry. The moment I heard I watched this music video and BAWLED my eyes out. I just can't believe he's gone. http://chimg.onionstatic.com/2257/animated/original.gif Edited August 12, 2014 at 10:17 PM by remykyes 1 Quote New Signature Coming Soon!

It's just unfortunate that due to societal pressures and ideals, we tend to think anything related to psychic ability, telepathy, remote viewing, etc. to be balderdash. I had something somewhat similar happen to me when Rue McCLanahan ("Blanche" on "The Golden Girls") died. A few days before she passed, I out of the blue mentioned to my partner, "I wonder what Rue McCLanahan is up to." Then, two days later, she died. So, trust me when I say I know what you went through. Bell Posted August 14, 2014 at 09:17 AM Posted August 14, 2014 at 09:17 AM It's been a couple of days and I still can't accept this... It's very hard for me. And, to tell you the truth, the day when I found out about his death, just a few hours before I heard the sad news, I was having quite a strange, bad feeling that someone had just died... Weird or not, it's true. Quote 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER

Yeah. I often feel something that might be crazy to lots of people but i learned to trust it, it's the best way to deal with it, otherwise you'll think you're posessed by Evil or smth... Weird or not, it's true. It's good, i guess. I mean, when you feel such things. Means there's still ability for your brain to get some energy from the space or whatever, i'm not sure how it works, Anyway... A great actor has gone, such a big loss, my mom calls me everyday and says she's shocked still, say nothing about me myself. I watched Where Dreams May Come the other day. Oh, and btw, speaking of his movies. For those who never saw Robin's movie 'The Big White' - DO SEE IT! Really worth watching. 1 Quote Love comes to those who believe it...
Jeffieboi Posted August 19, 2014 at 04:08 PM Posted August 19, 2014 at 04:08 PM This is a huge loss for everybody. We've all seen his comedic side in Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire, etc....we've seen him in dramatic roles like Bicentennial Man, What Dreams May Come, etc,....and we've seen him in dark roles like "One Hour Photo, Insomia, etc". He was so talented in every genre. Definitely going to miss him. 2 Quote
