Felifel55 Posted August 2, 2014 at 07:30 AM Posted August 2, 2014 at 07:30 AM Hello everyone! I thought it would be fun to hear your favourite words/ad libs/lines! I always have fav parts in a song. Usually really small parts. Is that weird?! Let me kick things off with just a few of my favs! I could go on forever! In TLYM the break at 3:44 gets me everytime! When the music starts again it's so dramatic! The way she says 'body' in TPOL, she says it in such a sultry way! The first ad lib in MYH 'aahhh hoooooooo OoOoOooO' I have to sing along to it everytime! In TC 'I just wanna start again' that line always always makes me feel emotional. Not in a bad way though. In Think Twice 'you and I knowwwww there'll be a storm tonight' again so sultry! The first time they sing 'Immortality' Celine's voice blends so well with the Bee Gees. The humming at the beginning of I'm Alive. So calming. In THLAL 'kiss and caressing her all night long wooooaaahhh ohhhh ohh' What are your favs? 4 Quote 'Can you keep a secret?'
*Daniel Posted August 2, 2014 at 10:15 AM Posted August 2, 2014 at 10:15 AM I like this one Everything is pretty much possible if you believe in yourself That was taken out of a speech that Celine did while she was on her world tour. 2 Quote "Everything is pretty much possible if you believe in yourself." ~ Celine Dion
BartFCS Posted August 2, 2014 at 10:28 AM Posted August 2, 2014 at 10:28 AM Great topic! The adlibs were defo always something that attracted me to her. I think my fav is BYLM around 3.24 right after "you saw the best there was in me". I remember thinking how flawless she is. How technical and accurate. The whole song until today gives me goosebumps although nowadays I'm not the biggest fan of 90's ballads of hers with few exceptions. 1 Quote

CelineDionFreak Posted August 2, 2014 at 12:42 PM Posted August 2, 2014 at 12:42 PM I've got a few! In Water and a Flame, at the end, she gets raspy with the ending. "Is everything really meant to change? I guess we're like water and a flame, water and a flame...." In Taking Chances I love how the ending after she says "Don't know much about your life, don't know much about your world..." Then it fades out. I love the adlibs in Mr. Paganini! Actually, they're more like scats. 2 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!

stone Posted August 2, 2014 at 03:05 PM Posted August 2, 2014 at 03:05 PM The versus of Where is The Love...very visual and poetic to me.The "I'll Be" cue the break, towards the end of To Love You More and the 4 ooooh's that ends the song.I also have a love/hate relationship when she says Lurrrrve. I cringe sometimes.I love the breakdown during L'abandon. Most of her songs don't have breakdowns so that's cool. 1 Quote

The scats in Mr Paganini are so fun, so jazzy! Makes you want to dance right? 1 Quote 'Can you keep a secret?'

sfbaysinger Posted August 2, 2014 at 06:22 PM Posted August 2, 2014 at 06:22 PM This is an amazing topic. Nothing weird about it. I do it all the time and just never really thought much about it. Okay, some of my faves. The way she sings the high/belt notes in L'Amour existe encore. The all because of you, belt note in the end of All Because Of You. The commanding way she says, comme, l'imensite, toward the end of L'Imensite. The first two lines in the Reason I Go On, especially, "the mention of your name" It sounds like she's thinking of or about to whisper it before she goes on. Also love the belt note in the final chorus of that song. The long note in Map To My Heart. I'm trying soooooooooo hard not to turn this post/topic in to a favorite belt note topic, but that was done already by moi, and no one responded. Anyway, this is an amaaaaaazing topic, keep it coming and please let's NOT get in a lipping argument. Let's keep this positive. 2 Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
sfbaysinger Posted August 2, 2014 at 06:23 PM Posted August 2, 2014 at 06:23 PM And also, LOVE the breakdown in L'Abandon as has been said. Forgot to agree with that. 2 Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!

Cuquito Posted August 3, 2014 at 03:28 AM Posted August 3, 2014 at 03:28 AM This is very hard... One of my very favorites is the first lines from Seduces Me... is pretty orgqsmic When she's finishing I Love You... Please please say you love me too... till the end of time... my baby ohhhh together together forever... I just died... Falling like a leaf... Falling like a star from FIY The first verse from Where Is The Love... Where's the love that sees no color lights... And so many more... 2 Quote

chocolatechip15 Posted August 3, 2014 at 04:34 AM Posted August 3, 2014 at 04:34 AM What interview's that from? I think it was from a VH1 interview. I don't have the original, but the Weird Al version was hysterical: I also love: "What's your favorite number?" "I don't know, but not 14!" Quote

Kev x I love this line too -- she sings it so passionately! All of ITWIT is amazing . . . I think that song is so underrated b/c there's so much focus on PQTME. PQTME of course is a classic . . . but the English version is so good in its own right. I'd really love to hear her sing it live in English one day, but that will probably never happen. 4 Quote
