There is an interview here.

She talks about Rene , says he is doing good , his strong and has the support of his family. She also mentions something like speech therapy as it was in the mouth.

She talks about Aldo and how it's a stress off Rene and how they are both happy with it.

This is just a general what I can quickly translate from reading it , so sorry if I got info wrong.

The only French I know is because of Celine and it's limited lol

At 4:33, she says again that this is not a change of management (though I think she then says she sees how it could be seen that way). She says that Rene is the head (i.e. the brain, I think) of all this; it's his heart that manages everything. But it's Aldo, with all his experience, who is there physically. And this is a comfort to both her and Rene, so that Rene can focus on his health. She said it's important that Rene stays at the house, works on his exercises, etc. -- and I think she also said it's nice to have both of them at home all the time.

 

Celine also talks about rumours (about 5:56). She was talking reallllly fast, but I think she was listing all the ridiculous rumours people say about them, and how she doesn't read anything . .but she said that Rene reads everything, and is current on everything. I sincerely hope that "everything" does not include this forum. . .when I think about the craziness that started here the day they announced Rene was stepping back. . eek. Rumours always did seem to bother Rene more than Celine. . maybe because he was the one who actually read them. But Celine says there will always be rumours, but she is here today to say all is going well.

 

At the end, they asked her if there were any upcoming shows in Quebec. She said something about Las Vegas, while laughing, that I didn't get . .but then I think she said that they don't have immediate, concrete plans for a show in Quebec (she sounded regretful) -- but then she was like, "But Aldo has a lot of contacts. .and you never know" -- and she and the interviewer were both looking at Aldo like, "Come on, arrange something!" And she said something like "Maybe the next time I have 10 days of vacation in Quebec, I'll do more than one song with a choir."

 

I adore Celine. With every interview I adore her more. :wub:

Thanks for posting the new articles and interviews (there are others in various threads as well at this point, as well!

 

I do feel bad she has to deal with this in public. I know I am the first to ask for a translation or to discuss an interview, so I am not trying to knock anyone for doing the same. My comment has more to do with personal experience of having someone I care about very much be ill, and finally getting to the point where you can't stand the contradiction in people. People laugh, they talk, life is going on. That's a great thing. But, at the same time, people ask questions, over and over again. You know it is because they care, but you also know you are not sure what to say. You do not want to make the person who is ill feel any worse, like they are not needed or to not include them in things. But, people ask questions, and on it goes. At least, in my life, I could escape feeling like that by taking a walk and getting out of the hospital for a minute and finding a minute alone. Celine and her family do not have the option, and I do not know how I would handle that, and I am sorry that their entire family is faced with that task. I am sorry.

 

Fame and celebrity is so weird. On one hand, I 100% understand not just the desire (though that would be enough), but also the need of having a minutes peace during things like this, and trying to handle it has a family, and so I do not believe they need or she be asked about this topic at all, by anyone. On other hand, I do wonder how he is doing, how she is doing, how they are doing as a couple, about their kids, etc. It would be a horrible balance, or at least a difficult journey in finding the balance. How do you answer questions and give responses that will be analyzed to to the max by everyone (myself included, so again, not pointing fingers here), but do so in a way that gives you and your family a sense of peace? She must be a tremendously kind person to handle things this way, I have yet to see her snap at a reporter and, honestly, I am not sure how she has managed that.

 

In another thread, an interview was translated that said Rene still reads all the rumors and press, but she doesn't. I hope that helps her. But, that he can read everything, and still be considered by anyone who talks about him as nice, and with a big heart, speaks volumes of his character. People always say it, but they both are great examples of how to deal with things privately on a public stage.

 

I am sure we are all continuing to hope and pray for their entire family.

 

Anyway, not trying to take this off topic. Just wanted to say in light of all of the interviews she has had to deal with these past few days, I admire her ability to carry on the way that she has, and to do so with kindness. What's in your heart always comes out, and, for her, that always seem to demonstrate a genuinely good person.
