Britney's True Voice

Found this gem floating around today. Some of you may have already seen....or heard it. Oh my gosh....can't believe this woman is still able to record. Although, as my cousin puts it: you don't need to hear her, you can just put it on mute, and watch her run around half-naked lol. But still! I get that people have off days but this goes way beyond that in my opinion. Anyways, just thought I'd share here.

Excuse my French but bollocks is it warm up. You don't sing whole songs to warm your voice up. Parts maybe. And whether or not she was warming up, she was still massively off a lot. Wasn't surprised. She's not technically a great singer.

I have listened to this version and the final product and I can say with absolute certainty that the vocal tracks are exactly the same. Where her voice goes flat in the raw version you can clearly hear a heavy autotune in the final version. A very badly done autotune, I must say. So the warming up excuse is just a lie. You can also hear that this track is not done at once, but has several takes glued together. Which means the producer has done a lot of work, too much for just a warming up session that you never use. This was used as the real track.

In defense of Britney though (I never thought I would ever defend her as a singer) I don't think her real singing on this track is that awful. Even though she misses a lot of the notes, it still doesn't sound repulsive to me to my surprise. I am surpirised I am actually relieved to hear a 100% human singing voice, with all this awful autotune everywhere. Because of all these robotic nonhuman tracks even a false singing Britney now sounds good! Can you believe that? That means that there is nothing like the real thing versus the fake.

She definitely sounds better further on in the track. Not as flat.
