Popular Post Andy Man Posted April 27, 2014 at 09:17 AM Popular Post Posted April 27, 2014 at 09:17 AM I have been listening to Dion Chante Plamondon lately and I have to say that I think that Je danse dans ma tête is hands down Celine's best pop song of her career. The lyrics are so cool and the production is out of this world...and rather ahead of its time. The d-d-d-d-dance part is similar to the style of singing you hear on radio today. The "Les sirenes de police..." bridge of the song at around 3:00 is just pure pop gold with Celine's voice and the atmosphere created. I was very glad to see that Celine performed this last year in Quebec...hopefully this song will make an appearance again at some point. Such a cool, interesting and original track... 12 Quote
mike_z Posted May 1, 2014 at 03:18 PM Posted May 1, 2014 at 03:18 PM AMAZING track. I've always been haunted by its melody and lyrics since I first heard it. And the video is so cool too! I'm so happy she performed it live last year. Too bad we couldn't hear the second pre-chorus in that version! "les sirenes de poliiiiiiiice...hurlent comme des louuuuuuups" <3 I still can't believe why this song didn't become a hit in France. It's so frenchie... it reached though #3 on Québec's Airplay chart. Quote
mike_z Posted May 1, 2014 at 03:22 PM Posted May 1, 2014 at 03:22 PM Voila, the making of the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLYbJRBpHb8 Quote
CelineDionFreak Posted May 1, 2014 at 03:53 PM Posted May 1, 2014 at 03:53 PM This is such a good song! I loved that she did the plamondon medley in USF! It was my favorite French moment of the show! 1 Quote I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!Le temps qui compte pour Celine est maintenant!
Neddo Posted May 1, 2014 at 03:57 PM Posted May 1, 2014 at 03:57 PM The last Celine's songs where she was truly cool, except QPVSA and TLDH video, in french discography. I want at least 1 song like this in her next album. This really showcases her coolness and this kind of songs would make her cool to teens and critics would love it. Unlike pop rock/R&b sound she made last years, this kind of mystic-emotional dance music would make her instantly more sincere and she would definatly try something else. 3 Quote http://imageshack.us/a/img138/7804/5tq2.png
Bell Posted May 1, 2014 at 04:36 PM Posted May 1, 2014 at 04:36 PM rather ahead of its timeThis is the best description of the song. 2 Quote 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER

mebe Posted May 1, 2014 at 09:42 PM Posted May 1, 2014 at 09:42 PM I really liked this version...I think there was like a radio edit of this version that used to play on Quebec radio stations. 1 Quote

lllBeautifulll Posted May 2, 2014 at 12:14 AM Posted May 2, 2014 at 12:14 AM I always wish a sequel of Dion Chante Plamondon. Plamondon wrote so much good songs. I can imagine Celine sing Complainte de la serveuse automate, and Monopolis from Starmania or Le Parc Belmont and J'ai douze ans (Diane Dufesne). 2 Quote
CelinesDIVO5 Posted May 2, 2014 at 12:31 AM Posted May 2, 2014 at 12:31 AM Love love love this song. I wrote English lyrics, although with a completely different concept. I live the beat, the rhythm...just everything about it. woodstock Posted May 2, 2014 at 09:01 AM Posted May 2, 2014 at 09:01 AM I've always loved that song !The composer, Romano Mussumara, is well-known for having witten a ton of catchy songs in the '80s. He also wrote and produced "Je ne veux pas" for Celine a few years before that one.One of his biggest hit songs in Europe was "Ouragan" sang by the princess of Monaco at the same time ! It was such a thrill to hear Celine sing it last summer ! Quote

Angel2006 Posted May 4, 2014 at 10:02 PM Posted May 4, 2014 at 10:02 PM I love this song so much. The parts where she sings Je ddd dans da me tete and then she speeds it up when she sings it more powerful. Like Je dddddd dans da ma tete. That part of the song was originally written for a trumpet, not the human voice. It's so hard to sing that part of the song, when she speeds it up. I don't know how she does it. This women's talents are endless. 2 Quote

chocolatechip15 Posted May 8, 2014 at 01:25 AM Posted May 8, 2014 at 01:25 AM I may be the only one, but I don't really like this song. I find the sound kind of shrill and annoying . . . I don't like most of Dion Chante Plamondon, either in the sound of the songs or the content of the lyrics. (exceptions are LAEE, and Quel'qun Que J'aime. . ). Oh, well. To each his own . . . Quote

It's funny because I haven't been a big fan of DCP too, but I recently listened through the album again and I really do enjoy it. It's not at the same level as "D'eux" or "S'il suffsait d'aimer", but I really like a lot of the songs on here. LAEE, DMQS, JDDMT, LBDB, Oxygène, Ziggy, Quelqu'un que j'aime..., and LFDS. It's amazing to just go back and listen to an album and rediscover it. 3 Quote http://i.imgur.com/dQ1vYVz.jpgMais qui peut dire, qu’il peut vivre sans amour, qui?
