Speaking of things Canadian, on the radio this morning, the DJ's were playing a game called "Canadian or not," where the other DJ had to guess whether various celebrities were Canadian. I remember they mentioned Alex Trebek and Neil Young . .but not Celine! Preposterous! (And not Del either. We should really write to them and protest.).

I love the Frankie Valli song! And you and Celine were both named after songs!

 

Have you ever seen the musical Rock of Ages? They built the story around various 80's songs - the main character is named Sherrie, and you just know it's so they can sing Steve Perry's Oh Sherrie. The second I heard her name, I was waiting for that song!

I'm too young to know Frankey Valley's song, but actually I do. My mom had a Four Seasons greatest hits tape when I was younger. But I don't know Steve Perry's song. Wow, well, ya know guys, at least they didn't mention Bieber in their Canadian or not questionnaire. If they did, now that needs a written protest!!!!!! LOL

90%+ of Connery autographs are forged.......there was a time when he did sign autos on the street but since the 90s he's become more and more grumpy , also many people are just dealers.

I now own 2 Connerys , one from 60s and this 70s piece......

 

It's with authgraphs like it's with finger prints , there are certain details the forgers miss , example :

 

-Clint Eastwood (sometimes "Clint Eastwood" , or "Cl Eastwood" or a more sloppy "C Eastwood"......note how the "E" crosses the "t" on legit ones , the whole structure of the signature. The secretariarls seem too neatly written compared to legit ones)

I suppose I'm too young to know the Frankie Valley song, too (I wasn't born til 1981), but my parents used to play the oldies radio station in the car (the *real* oldies from the 50s and 60s). My mom also used to play Broadway show tunes. Growing up, I knew all the words to all the songs in shows likeThe King and I and My Fair Lady, but had absolutely no idea about the music all the other kids in school were listening to. Whatever, my music was better!

 

Btw, Steve Perry's Oh Sherrie is awesome. Classic 80's cheesy music that can only be loved:
