This magazine is from South Africa. Photos are old, nothing we don't already know but I think it's the first time she says the word, "Internet"

Credit to Claudette for the scans! :thankspin:

I wonder what Celine meant when she said, After the show she changes quickly and does a runner? Does that mean she runs quickly to the car to get home fast, or does she go running for a workout on the treadmill after the show?

That was a very good interview. I really enjoyed reading it.

I thought the same exact thing.

Thanks for posting the scans for me, Vic!

For those of you that speak English, What does ''jaundiced'' mean? I'm assuming it has something to do with the yellow skin newborn babies often have.

I doubt Celine runs on a treadmill after a show. :P I guess ''does a runner'' means she runs to the car to get home as quickly as possible.

Yea. Jaundice is the yellow skin on some babies have when they are born.

A runner just means that she leaves as quickly as possible, no stopping, no interviews, no meetings (fans or otherwise). She could very well leave in her costume, and run directly from the stage. It just depends on how the runner is set-up. For example, Tina Turner had costumes (for one tour anyway), that were designed to be pulled off as she ran, and she would be re-dressed mid-run. I have seen at the end of Celine Dion concerts her getting in the car in her final costume (on the Through the Eyes of the World DVD). Or, it just means she does a change, almost like a quick change, and leaves right then. I believe she is typically off property before the venue even empties out.

So, in essence, it just means what Claudette said: she gets home as quicky as possible.

Thanks for posting the article! I wonder if the nannies are always there. Doesn't make a difference really, just curious. I remember reading an article where she said she liked being in Floridia because she spent more time with the kids, and she only had nannies when she worked in Vegas because her job requires sleep. So, I was just wondering if when she isn't working, if she keeps the nannies there. Like I said, it doesn't matter, I was just curious I guess. She has always said she sleeps until like 1:00 or 2:00, so if she leaves at 4:00, I wonder if she gets to spend much time with the kids on the days that she works (again, wouldn't matter, just curious). But, her Vegas schedule is only 70 to 80 days a year (the extra 10 for private concerts or charity events). So, even if she doesn't get the chance to spend a lot of time with her kids, it isn't like it is all the time--just the 70 or 80 days a year, which is probably more time to spend with the kids than the average working mother can spend with their kids. I have no idea why I am rambling on this topic, I blame the early hour.

I wonder when this interview was done, because they addressed the recent pregnancy rumor.

I feel like some of her answers were copy and paste from at least one past interview. I remember another interview that talked about the broken air conditioner, so maybe she did more than one interview that night. Anyway, I get giving stock answers. If she goes off at all it just leads to more questions (for example, my own question about her nannies). She didn't really talk about how her relationship to Rene evolved, but it's interesting though that she said she sometimes seems him as his character in that movie.

Okay, I am signing off for the day--possibly the next few days as I have to go out of town. But, thanks again for posting this!

it's a nice interview. My husband came home with this magazine for me. I was surprized, i actually asked him to buy me the Hello mag, then he came with this one instead, shame, was sweet of him. So i had to go out again to get the Hello magazine.

You're right, my daughter had jaundice when she was born. Then they put her in an incubator that could close on the top, and it had lights in it, which is suppose to help for the jaundice, and they put a little mask on over her eyes, cause the lights were quite bright.

Thanks for the info about runners. :)

I don't think Celine gets up at 1:00 or 2:00pm anymore. Celine has said in a past interview that she gets up at 6am to get RC ready for school. I know RC is home schooled right now, but Celine is probably used to that early schedule now. Especially since she has 3 year old twins.

I'm glad that she hired a nanny (for Vegas). This means she can relax and give her sister(s) some down time. All parents need help from time to time.

Thanks for sharing this! Is this only in the South African edition of Good Housekeeping? My mom gets Good Housekeeping, and I was about to call her, and be all excited and ask if she got the February issue yet - but it looks like it's not in the American edition :(

Hmmm, I didn't even know you get this magazine in other countries too. I was always under the impression it is an SA magazine because I normally buy the Afrikaans version in any case. Just bought the English one this time to post here. Maybe they are all independent of each other. I know that most of the time there are SA stuff in, so I don't think it is the same.

I know that this isn't the right topic but creating a topic for this la semaine article hasn't been approved yet, but does anyone have scans of this magazine by any chance? Or is anyone willing to buy it online or in person and post scans here? :P It's supposedly supposed to be a full article with an interview with RC and/or pics.

Et je t'aime encore, comme dans les chansons banales...

I don't think it's an interview with RC - just pics of him. The headline says "Exclusive photos of Celine's son."
