Hi everbody! My name is Manuel (even though I prefer to be called simply 'Manu') and I'm from Spain. A couple of weeks ago I saw that 'The Essential' recopilatory was discounted on iTunes and I bought it immediately. Until then, I only knew Céline because of 'My Heart Will Go On' (sorry! ) and as the singer my mom and dad used to play in the car (she owns 'All The Way' and 'Au cœur du stade). After all, I was curious about the singer who was always mentioned (along with Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey) as one of the best vocalists of the 90's. I was pleased to discover that songs I've always loved are sung by Céline, like 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' Since then, I've been visiting this forum and reading someof the topics, trying to know the person, not just the artist.

Although Céline has already released her two latest albums and it seems they aren't going to be promoted any longer :teary:I'd like to be part of this community while I discover a singer I'm sure will be one of my favorites

¡Hola a todos! Después de haber escrito unas palabritas en inglés, me voy a presentar propiamente en castellano. Como he dicho arriba, me llamo Manu y vivo en Madrid. Mi relación con Céline es bastante antigua, mis padres solían poner 'Au Coeur du Stade' en casi todos los viajes de coche largos que hacíamos, ¡y me acuerdo perfectamente que 'Ziggy' era una de mis favoritas'!, aparte que en mi casa estaba el recopilatorio de 'All The Way'.

Debo decir que soy una persona a la que le encanta la música y, sobretodo, descubrir nuevos artistas. Durante los últimos meses he estado repasando el catálogo de Mariah Carey y Whitney Houston, y para cerrar la Tríada de los 90 tenía que tocar el turno de Céline Dion A los pocos días vi que 'The Essential' estaba rebajado en iTunes (solo 4,99€) y me lo compré inmediatamente. Aparte de 'My Heart Will Go On', me sorprendió reconocer que otras canciones que siempre había escuchado eran suyas, como 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now', 'The Power Of Love' o 'Because You Loved Me'. Durante unas semanas estuve escuchando el disco a todas horas, además de leyendo su página de Wikipedia y foros, hasta que me encontré con este.

Llegó un momento en que 'The Essential' me sabía ya a poco, así que empecé por su discografía en inglés. De momento solo he escuchado con detenimiento 'Unison' y 'Celine Dion', aparte de haberle dado una vuelta a 'The Colour Of My Love'

Se que como fan apenas llevo unas semanas, y que ni tan siquiera he escuchado toda su discografía, pero, como siempre me pasa, se que llegará ese momento. Cuando empiezo a descubrir a alguien, procuro siempre saber algo de su vida, y luego algo más, y luego algo más, y más... y así Estoy seguro de que con Céline será igual, porque me encanta su voz y, por lo poco que he visto (el documental de '3 Boys and a New Show') su personalidad también Espero que, aunque no vaye a sacar disco en una temporada y siga encerrada en Las Vegas, descubra toda la carrera de Céline con vuestra ayuda

Bien venido Manu. Estoy feliz para tenir te en la forum. Mi Espanol es muy malo pero quiero tratarde hablarte en tu idioma. Celine es mi cantante favorite por muchas razones. Ella es la major en todo el mundo. Okay that's the end of my Spanish. Seriously, people around here are sometimes very mean, negative and critical of Celine but there are also many people here who love her. Like me, como yo, me encanta Celine!
