That's not fair at all to say that. Ok, there's no music video but she's not reluctant to do promo. Ask Britney Spears or Aguilera, they didn't do anything AT all beside shooting a video.

 

Céline isn't involved in strategy. I think she just follow what she is told to do. What is Céline's real opinion about success ? Saying she cares and wants a hit might sound pretentious , saying the other way is seen as carelessness. Where's the truth? I remember she said to René at the very beginning of her career " you take care of making me sing all my life". That's maybe what she wants : only singing.

 

At this stage of her career, having a flop ( if we consider that's a flop) won't be a tragedy. Like she said , she will record another album and that's it. If it was for me, if I had Céline's career, I wouldn't have done anything more to save the album in the US. What could have happened? Nothing. She has money, she has great achievements and she is safe to sing until 2019

Selling another million of her album won't change anything for her. It will simply keeps Sony thinking they can only rely on her. Look at what the've done? Or what they haven't : she sang on "The Voice" and they aren't even able to put a banner on Itunes ( or simply send the song to radios on time).

So working my a** off to satisfy Sony's bank account : hell no!

 

For the record a banner on iTunes can't happen since Beyonce literally bought them all for her new album, artists who have put out albums haven't even gotten one
