They all managed tv feeds for different latin american countries. None of them had Brazil, Brazil has always been produced, broadcasted and managed from Brazil. They choose their own programming. It's always been really independent from the rest of Latin American countries. Quote

LuisMa Posted November 28, 2013 at 08:01 AM Posted November 28, 2013 at 08:01 AM Can they understand French? They are Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries right? I am from Costa Rica and French is taught in high school, but just the basics, but of course there are people who understand and speak it, but it's not necessary to understand it to enjoy the music!! 2 Quote
Prima_Donna1 Posted November 28, 2013 at 11:34 AM Posted November 28, 2013 at 11:34 AM Spanish and French are closely related because they are Romance languages that derive from Latin. So are Portuguese, Italian, etc. So that means some words are similar from language to language. Tho because of the different pronunciations of vowels and meanings it makes a difference. I know as a person who speaks Spanish somewhat fluently if I here a person speak French I won't know what they are saying unless they spoke slowly. If I see some French words in writing then I can understand some of it. 1 Quote Apprends-Moi tes Secrets...http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy180/miss_daly2881/post-1110-0-56076900-1358706235_thumb.jpg

mike_z Posted November 29, 2013 at 04:04 AM Posted November 29, 2013 at 04:04 AM (edited) french music has always been popular over here... Jacques Brel, Aznavour, Yves Montand, Moustaki, Benjamin Biolay, Cabrel, Gainbourg, Birkin, France Gall, Piaf, Carla Bruni, Zaz... As for Celine, we always got argentinean editions from her french albums with spanish translations of the titles! Edited November 29, 2013 at 04:05 AM by mike_z Quote

I see on Kworb that she is only charting in Argentina at 175. No sign of Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador or Chile. However, she is charting in Bolivia (132). Quote
