Duchess Posted November 23, 2013 at 08:54 PM Posted November 23, 2013 at 08:54 PM And this one - especially cos of her single tear just before the final note. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-QUD7NP3cc the look in her eye, on her face at 1:20. she left and went somewhere else for a moment. it's almost as if she wasn't on the stage but joined the athletes or something. i keep rewinding to that moment. the choir was enormous she had to have some serious chops to sing with that choir. 2 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/Duchess_Nicol/flower20cropped.jpg

I just got goosebumps watching it again - the perfect Olympic celebration moment. Everyone holding hands and Celine flawlessly belting out this beautiful song that encompasses the entire spirit and excitement of the event. Nobody could have done it better, nobody. 2 Quote

She's still top notch now of course but I am particularly drawn to her singing in this era. 1 Quote

(besides like Cyndi Lauper) Can you believe she had the long dark hair, very plucked dark eyebrows at one point, then had her hair cut into a cute dark bob, and then even shorter when she released D'eux and the list goes on. She even seemed to coordinate her clothing to her hairstyles. I have to say I love it and looking at it I can appreciate her different looks much more now than I did before - especially since she looks so amazing today at 45! 1 Quote

LukeD Posted December 2, 2013 at 10:26 AM Posted December 2, 2013 at 10:26 AM The high notes here are better than the studio version, definitely clearer and her falsetto is very pretty and on spot. 1 Quote
