'Somebody Loves Somebody' and 'Save Your Soul' are the best up-tempo songs of her entire discography for me. Their beat is really forward. Usually her voice ''drove'' the songs.

Absolutely agree. From all the clips that I had heard, it was SYS that stuck with me throughout, especially the rap part as both flow quite well without being awkward or pretentious.

Weird decision to not have the rap version on the CD versions and only available on the LP. What in the world were Sony thinking? :doh: :blink:

I'm not a huge fan of this song. I really like the lyrics but the melody... It starts very well but then gets boring for me.

I love this song - esp at the end hearing all the "ha,hey, ooh" bits. I'd love to hear Celine do that live, and have some fun!

Love the song, there's not much more to say than that. Great beat, instruments, lyrics, melody, etc. I so could have heard it on Falling In To You it has that retro nineties throw-back sound!

Does anyone know if the jeans that Celine was wearing in the recording studio video for Save Your Soul, are the same jeans she wore for Sur Les Plaines D'Abraham 2008?

She says something about it being an uptempo song, for dancing; gives her the feel of being on vacation (I think that's what she said!). She said she's not adventurous enough to try rapping -- She says something like "There's lots of things I can do, but rap. . .I"m not sure"

This song really should have been the b-side for the "Incredible" single. It would have fit very nicely coupled with the Ne-Yo duet. Especially the rap version. I guess our only hope of getting it made available to us now is for it to be a b-side for "Somebody Loves Somebody," have it be on the next volume of "The Collector's Series" (if one ever gets released), or if a "Limited/Special Edition" of "Loved Me Back To Life" is released.

yeah i agree w/ u 'superlove4celine' that celines song "save your soul" would be a GREAT single for celine, (& they should release the rap version from the vinyl edition, since hip-hop & dance music is still very popular these days & its very different & unique from what celine has done before, since she hasnt ever included rap in her music before now except for the unison remix that only us celine fans know about & everyone else doesnt know about lol), either this song or "somebody loves somebody" should become singles since THEY ARE BOTH UPBEAT & MODERN-SOUNDING SONGS, & MANY PEOPLE IN AMERICA HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING THAT CELINE SHOULD SING MORE UPBEAT & MODERN SONGS & LESS OF THE BALLADS & COVERS NOWADAYS LOL!!!! & even tho the general public loved her ballads & covers back in the day, & i love most of her ballads & some of the covers too, as well as most of her upbeat songs, most people in general listen to mostly upbeat & dance songs nowadays, & both of these songs are great songs of celines & would be more liked than releasing just ballads cuz celine has way more than just ballads & covers to offer from this wonderful yet underrated album full of awesome songs, except for "overjoyed" & "lullabye", not my faves @ all lol!!!!

 

 

now im very curious about why didnt the rap version of "save your soul" didnt make it onto the original cd editions & deluxe editions of the album but was only included on the vinyl editions, & most people dont even have vinyl players these days???? if anyone on here knows the answer to that one, can u please tell me???? cuz i really wanna know that now... i think that wasnt the brightest decision from sony @ all!!!! (yea thats such a shocker right lol, sony hasnt been making alot of the brightest decisions when it comes to promoting & handling celines music nowadays havent they lol)... cuz i dont own a vinyl player & i cant afford to just out & buy one right now, especially since i dont have any vinyl records lol, i only have cds & songs dowloaded on my ipod... & i have several songs from the lmbtl album on my ipod from the original edition on itunes, but i would like to have the rap version, its not on itunes & i cant find the song anywhere now since the audio clip of the song on youtube got removed a while back... geez why is sony so dumb & ridicolous nowadays???? they should have put the rap version on the original & deluxe editions of the lmbtl album instead of only the vinyl edition, which not everyone still has vinyl players in their homes or never have had any vinyl players to begin w/, like me lol... i dont understand the logic & thought processes of sony when it comes to handling celines career these days, i wish that she would leave sony & move on another record label so much better & smarter & would @ least know what the hell they are doing w/ her music & promotion unlike sony is lately!!!!
