J:i've had the chance to listen to your last record in englis, and i've had the impression that your tone was a little more daring, melody, lyrics more daring, is it conscious, is it true?

 

C: absolutely, absolutely, that's true. Words are different, a vocal approach that is different. It is sure that this is the same me, i don't try to reinvent myself and to begin with another walk, but this time we put like an Adele approach,a voice that is more there, a more dry approach, like i'm singung just there, very intimist..

C:Me, i've lived little problems when i have gone to school,i was not good in my skin, i was not pretty, dental problems, i didn't had the jeans , i took the jeans of my brother and the vest of my sister, we didn't had money, we didn't had choice, and i was not liking it, didn't feel it inside. And it is little scars that you have in you, it is very bitter, it is not something that you will fight at this age, you won't fight ant it is hard. We have to be alert for our kids, to be listening to our kids,enormously.

C: Always,it is not always track, (breathing deeply), it is more like anticipation, i'm anticipating, i want to hurry. I'v got butterflies,, if i didn't have btterflies, didn't have track, nervous a little and i would be over this,too sure, there would not have been magic.. You have to be afraid a little,adrenalin who gaves us butterflies, and stomach prickle. It is existing still, that's the passion

j: you are one of the few artist that the chance and talent to sing in two languages,is singing in French has sometning...

 

C:It is sure. It is more than a dimension, this is who i am, the bllood in my veins, when you come from Quebec,, you begin your carreer in french, our french tongue is ours, this is something that we don't forget, and we don't want to forget, But it is not something that will prevein to sing in an other language. It is not like i would be saying, I just have to sing in english to have an international carreer, no need to continue in french. I'm not obligated to do this.I'm not needing to do english , french or mandarin. It is a pleasure, a privilege.

 

J: You'll go back in a tour, there is 7 concerts in Paris

 

C: i'm so happy, very...I've gone to see you last year with my Sans Attendre album, it is always too quick, when i go i'm a little at home,i take your country like my country, i'm very happy to go, and i can't wait to go every time. People there sings with me, help me remember the words sometimes when i forget them. It is very pleasant, you help me blooming, with what i live, accepted me like i was, you grow with me, showed me great things, And Jean Jacques represents every trip i make in france. We sing in English, we sing in english too, because you are so english in France, You use Parking, shopping, bronzing, and i say to myself, are we in France? We say magasiner and stationner, is it another country here? It is always a pleasure and i'm looking forward to, i thank the french public, 7 concerts in Paris, 2 in Belgique, it is a very short tour, i can't go on a big tour, with my Vegas concert that i love too, i don't have more time, sadly. Already 7 concerts is more that i could hope.

C:I was a big fan of Micheal Jackson, was having his poster in my bedroom, i begun in french, didn't spoke english at that time, and i've said to rené, I would want to sing all my life and have a carreer like Michael Jackson. He said, my little girl, if you want to have a carreer leke Michael, you will have to go to school , learning english, i said no problem. We booked Berlitz right away, i've gone to school , 2 month in a row, up until they said to me, i 'll book you your first english interview, and we will see if you can manage. So , 2 month after, he booked me a first interview, been a great traumatism, but i manage. so he began making calls to have songs and producers, and it started well, making my first album with david foster.

 

Saved me back to life with the childs......

 

J: we are uneder the impression that your life is an open book, you shared your dramas, your anguish, René's cancer, your struggle to have kids, why do you have this need to share with your public, your private life.

 

C:I don't know, it is me. to be an open book, people know more about me than a song, the fact that they know more is a thing that makes it more true, more real, more completed.
