CELINEFAN01 Posted November 12, 2013 at 04:05 AM Posted November 12, 2013 at 04:05 AM Recenty Céline said that she listened to D'elles album not a log time go and she cried...Looks like that era was very though for her at a personal stakeI agree. I actually think On S'est Aime a Cause is much more applicable here than My Love . . I don't have a complete understanding of the French poetry, but it's a song that reaffirms love after a long relationship with ups and downs. When the relationship starts, you love each other "because" . . because of all the various reasons you fall in love with someone when everything is rose-colored and seems perfect and you have big dreams. . but now you see things differently, and you have to love each other "despite" - despite the problems, the bad times. And it ends by saying the highest point of love is when you love each other *because* of the *despites* I've always loved the recording session for this song . . go to 1:19:24 and you see Celine singing it to Rene, and them laughing in the studio and hugging . .such gentle affection there. It seems even more meaningful now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4qTtyiFsY4 1:20:44 WHAT DID SHE SAID TO RENE IN THIS PART PLEASE? (= Quote

chocolatechip15 Posted November 12, 2013 at 04:27 AM Posted November 12, 2013 at 04:27 AM someone have the part of the interview when she said that she cried a lot with D'Elles album? The interview is here: http://www.lapresse.ca/arts/musique/201310/04/01-4696359-le-monde-sinvite-chez-celine.php It's "en francais," but this is the Red Heads' translation of the relevant part: when I need to be reassured artistically, that I'm not proud of my vocal performance, or feel blue, I don't listen to my english albums. I listen to my french repertoire. I don't have a lot of music in my bag. I have some Adele, Rihanna, and a few of my albums. Not all, and I don't want to have my whole repertoire. Recently I listened to D'elles, an album that didn't have a great success. I cried so much when I listened to it. I didn't have time to live that album. It was chop chop, a launching tv special, and that was it. But to me, It was a milestone in my repertoire. Quote

Neddo Posted November 12, 2013 at 08:58 AM Posted November 12, 2013 at 08:58 AM SHe cried because D'elles was a project that made her do the best of herself and after that hard work she had like few moths to be connected with D'elles. She simply didn't enjoy it to the fullest after it was released. 5 Quote http://imageshack.us/a/img138/7804/5tq2.png
Jessyka Posted November 12, 2013 at 11:11 AM Posted November 12, 2013 at 11:11 AM I don't think that My Love was about Rene at all, but the fact that they were having a hard time may have contributed to the fact that she was so emotional when she was recording it. It's very difficult not to bring all of the emotions inside yourself to the surface when you're getting emotional about something. 6 Quote http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff5/backup674/Banners/Image1.jpg

LVCeline Posted November 13, 2013 at 04:13 AM Posted November 13, 2013 at 04:13 AM What an amazing interview! She's been so candid lately, I love it. The only thing that bothered me was the interviewer said she wasn't belting notes anymore, has he heard her sing much the last decade? I don't feel at all like she belts any less than she did in the 90's. 3 Quote
browseceline Posted November 13, 2013 at 06:38 AM Posted November 13, 2013 at 06:38 AM You guys, we should watch the My Love recording session again -- it's so clear that it's NOT about Rene, but about the pressure and time demands of her career: Linda Perry: "My initial impression of Celine was a woman who does not know how to say no. For her to go do these interviews, sing until she's blue in the face, to do . . how many shows for 5 years straight . . all these things . .you know, there is a person in there that isn't having any time to do anything . . ." Celine (tearful): "You know, it's difficult, when you start your career when you're 12; you don't have time to question yourself; who am I really? . . .I"ve done that work for 25 years or more, and when you start so young and do it for so long nonstop, you have no time to kind of like to question yourself, to feel yourself . .even though I'm the one who wanted it; I wanted that; i wanted that life." [she doesn't mention Rene at all, and is even saying here that she herself wanted it.] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n1isksdLgE I still think taking chances was not a bad album at all. My love in the way it was recorded for the album, i think i like it more then the slower version. amelie Posted November 13, 2013 at 02:23 PM Posted November 13, 2013 at 02:23 PM I think Celine is giving her best interviews promoting Loved me back to life, she's never been so candid, smart and deep in her interviews as she is now. She's more experienced in life and it shows (also depends on the people interviewing her, what they ask her and if she's relaxed enough at the time). No more "picking my own tomatoes." Thank god. Proud to be a fan of this lady. I love this! I wish she could sing with Freddy Mercury, I love his voice and songs. she did a duet with Frank Sinatra and one with Elvis Presley, why not Freddie? hopefully she will for a duets album maybe Quote

rhapsodion Posted November 13, 2013 at 02:53 PM Posted November 13, 2013 at 02:53 PM Wow, thanks for sharing the berlin interview. Did she had a drink before this interview, it is so candid and revealing. For some of the questions, i thought she will give us the same answers, but then she managed to tell us more. 2007 relationship crisis is a surprise, and also so funny that RC thinks her mom speaks 7 languages. 2 Quote

Lu CelineFan Posted November 14, 2013 at 11:03 AM Posted November 14, 2013 at 11:03 AM Never seen her look as sad as the closing night for AND. I thought she was dreading the start of the TC world tour being so soon. It mignht have been that time together during that tour that saved the marriage. They seem as close as ever on the documentary dvd. My Love finally explained. Linda Perry I love you. I´ve realized since the beginning My love was an auto-bio. The way she used to cry performing ...it was very painful to her even after the storm Linda rocks!!!! Quote Team Céline Dion Brazil@lu_celinefan
Teodora Posted November 14, 2013 at 08:37 PM Posted November 14, 2013 at 08:37 PM Not a wild life??? I hate it when people think that for a fun, wild life you have to smoke, drink or do drugs. Celine has one of the wildest lives anyone can have, because she's one of the biggest artists of all time. Is it not wild to have all that touring, interviews, fans et. Have you ever seen videos of what happens when Celine goes out of her Paris hotel? - fans go insane. That's wild. Not to mention all the money, traveling etc etc. 3 Quote
