The supermarket worker from Teesside also revealed Celine Dion, who sang new track Loved Me Back To Life on Sunday night’s eviction show, has some new fans in this year’s X Factor contestants.

Abi Alton said: “I have to say, Celine Dion was absolutely incredible and after she performed that song we all downloaded it. We had it playing in the green room and everything."

Last night’s results show on ITV trailed BBC1 rival Strictly Come Dancing by more than a million viewers.

I feel nervous evrytime shes about to sing the last part of the bridge (neva givup on me... Ohhhhhohhh woooooo.ooooohhh, ) SHE NAILED IT people!!!!! It was EPIC. But i must admit the quebec performance is by far the best performance of LMBTL so far imo

I love when she nails this! I get nervous for her too because I know if it's an off night it can just go horribly wrong but she's been on it with all of this promotion the last two weeks! Amazing, just amazing!

The concept of wearing the poppy actually originated in the US by the American Legion to commemorate those soldiers who died in WW1. It was later adopted by Canada, Austrailia, the UK and other countries to commemorate fallen soldiers and veterans. It is most prominent today in the UK though but is still seen in countries around the world especially the US, Canada, and Austrailia.

In part. Its use was inspired by a poem from WW1 which mentioned the poppies that grew in the fields on the soldiers' graves. But I meant the origin of wearing/pinning the poppy to one's clothes and its use in regards to Remembrance Day and Veterans Day. He had asked if it was strictly a British thing and I was simply explaining the background behind the symbol.

Guys!!! Céline is back in the UK top 75 singles chart for the first time since 2007.

 

LMBTL is at #75!!! This only includes sales until Sat midnight 9 Nov. http://www.officialcharts.com/singles-chart/

 

After the X factor effect and the current steady placing in iTunes top 10, the song is likely to roar up the charts. Can't wait to listen live to the top 40 on Sunday, the first time I've done that for years!!!! It's a guaranteed top 40 I reckon, maybe even top 20 or higher still!!!

Most people are saying she's holding back a little, that she sounds restrained and not powerful, which I agree in a way, but it's because they lowered the key, it's like because you loved me, the last belts don't sound as powerful as the album version in the lowered-live versions. And many people say she's great but that it's not the perfect song for her... those are the ones that will fall in love with Breakaway, and bash her for the playback LOL
