ehild Posted November 11, 2013 at 08:35 PM Posted November 11, 2013 at 08:35 PM I feel nervous evrytime shes about to sing the last part of the bridge (neva givup on me... Ohhhhhohhh woooooo.ooooohhh, ) SHE NAILED IT people!!!!! It was EPIC. But i must admit the quebec performance is by far the best performance of LMBTL so far imo I love when she nails this! I get nervous for her too because I know if it's an off night it can just go horribly wrong but she's been on it with all of this promotion the last two weeks! Amazing, just amazing! Totally agree! She looks so amazing lately. I have to beat my chest every time I see her to keep breathing! Fresh Music Era = Fresh Look Era! I'm loving the new look! It goes well with the new album and the whole classy, glamour-rock type thing she's got going on. Love it!! And her hair!! 2 Quote ~Liz"Please don't make your career your life. Let it be your passion, let it bring you pleasure, but don't let it become your identity. You are so much more valuable than that." -Celine

garçon Posted November 11, 2013 at 11:18 PM Posted November 11, 2013 at 11:18 PM QUESTION: for the English folks perhaps, are 'foreigners' not allowed to wear a poppy? In other words: Why didn't Celine wear one at the X factor performance and the Ross show? Quote
Hilda Posted November 11, 2013 at 11:37 PM Posted November 11, 2013 at 11:37 PM I wonder if she will be on the xtra factor? Kev xsadly not - she left straight after no xtra factor recording Quote
Hilda Posted November 11, 2013 at 11:41 PM Posted November 11, 2013 at 11:41 PM When it comes to Céline's English repertoire, the UK and Ireland knows best. This is why these brilliant singles did best here: Think TwiceOnly One RoadPour que tu m'aimes encoreMisledCall The ManTell Him (no 2 in Ireland!!!!)The ReasonImmortalityA New Day Has Come All got into top 15 and mostly top 10. Loved Me Back To Life is the latest addition - at least top 15, fingers crossed. yes especially the reason think twice (obviously - its exceptional to me that this wasnt massive in the US) and only one road (mainly the song that made me love her) Quote

In other words: Why didn't Celine wear one at the X factor performance and the Ross show? The concept of wearing the poppy actually originated in the US by the American Legion to commemorate those soldiers who died in WW1. It was later adopted by Canada, Austrailia, the UK and other countries to commemorate fallen soldiers and veterans. It is most prominent today in the UK though but is still seen in countries around the world especially the US, Canada, and Austrailia. The battle fields after the war regrew with fields full of poppies.... I think that's where the popy came from Kev x 1 Quote

But I meant the origin of wearing/pinning the poppy to one's clothes and its use in regards to Remembrance Day and Veterans Day. He had asked if it was strictly a British thing and I was simply explaining the background behind the symbol. 1 Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas

mairtin Posted November 12, 2013 at 11:56 AM Posted November 12, 2013 at 11:56 AM Guys!!! Céline is back in the UK top 75 singles chart for the first time since 2007. LMBTL is at #75!!! This only includes sales until Sat midnight 9 Nov. http://www.officialcharts.com/singles-chart/ After the X factor effect and the current steady placing in iTunes top 10, the song is likely to roar up the charts. Can't wait to listen live to the top 40 on Sunday, the first time I've done that for years!!!! It's a guaranteed top 40 I reckon, maybe even top 20 or higher still!!! 3 Quote
Peppercorn1991 Posted November 12, 2013 at 01:14 PM Posted November 12, 2013 at 01:14 PM There is only a 30 sec interview after the performance.... What interview are you guys talking about? Kev x 1 Quote
joaofilho Posted November 12, 2013 at 01:54 PM Posted November 12, 2013 at 01:54 PM Anyone know yet if this month she will make presentations in the uk, the single LBTL has potential for her, she needs to do a couple more performances at least. Quote
mike_z Posted November 12, 2013 at 02:38 PM Posted November 12, 2013 at 02:38 PM I'm reading comments of this video, which by the way has almost 80,000 views. Most people are saying she's holding back a little, that she sounds restrained and not powerful, which I agree in a way, but it's because they lowered the key, it's like because you loved me, the last belts don't sound as powerful as the album version in the lowered-live versions. And many people say she's great but that it's not the perfect song for her... those are the ones that will fall in love with Breakaway, and bash her for the playback LOL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0IJqgPUGQs 1 Quote

zuv Posted November 13, 2013 at 12:23 AM Posted November 13, 2013 at 12:23 AM Great article and interview on Sky News today. http://news.sky.com/...e-made-it-today Across a 30-year career, Dion has sold more than 200 million records and will spend Christmas performing at a sell-out residency concert in Las Vegas, but she admits at some point she will have to hang up her microphone for good."Eventually I will have no choice, at some point, I'm not even going to be able to hum My Heart Will Go On." WTF? where is that coming from? This is so out of no where in the interview, i hope she means when she'll be 100 yrs old... Quote
