Javito Posted October 10, 2013 at 09:56 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 09:56 AM Seriously though, you do begin to wonder if they have someone in "the team" purposely sabotaging things as surely they couldn't get things SO wrong on SO many occasions. I've thought about that many times, it just can't be that for so many times they mess things up like this. Maybe they have a black sheep inside Sony Music, or even in her own team. "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Ronny83 Posted October 10, 2013 at 10:01 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 10:01 AM The most frustrating thing is that they won't care about it, won't listen to us, won't take notice of complaints. They will get paid anyway. And we'll buy the album anyway. We will go to Celine's concerts anyway. They get their deal anyway. 4 The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com
Javito Posted October 10, 2013 at 10:12 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 10:12 AM (edited) True, but not everything is lost. Not if we complain. Not as long as we speak our mind loud and clear in the official site or their facebook wall when we're not happy about something. The radical change of direction that this album took was in part because of the complaining of fans, and its proved that the effort wasn't in vain. They treat us like morons and puppets. If this so called "big announcement" had happened with Madonna or Lady Gaga, her fanbase and all the media would be roaring today in despair, because every little move these singers do are echoed in the press the next minute and they would be all like "ohhhh Madonna/Lady Gaga is making her fans wait another day for her exclusive announcement". But since its Celine Dion here, nobody cares. But that doesn't mean her fans deserve to be treated like "second class" fans. Complain. It's the last resource we have in these situations. Even if you think its useless. They can't take that away from us, and its our right to do that, as customers. Doesn't Céline say when she wants that her career is a business? Right. Xpresso Posted October 10, 2013 at 10:47 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 10:47 AM OK, let's say the big announcement is about snippets of the songs... and let's say there are technical issues fo real... I think they could at least make the announcement today and say "SNIPPETS AVAILABLE TOMORROW!" Not too professional but it's a bit better than just postponing an announcement... 5

It's 10 years now that they keep on handling Celine's English career so poorly, I don't know what to think. They must be feeling it though as they sell less and less of everything she releases so they are getting it wrong. Now to add insult to injury they continue to insult the truly faithful fans (us!) by behaving like this time and time again. 1 Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.

Javito Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM (edited) We're the customers who always complain and keep on supporting her anyway. They won't get any damage from our complaints. It's 10 years now that they keep on handling Celine's English career so poorly, I don't know what to think. Because all the communication Céline has with fans is a joke. It's always the same "I love you" from fans to her and from her to fans and that's it. End of story, she doesn't want to know more, just go home and forget about it. She doesn't want to ask us what we think or what we want, and so we have a totally unreal relationship with her. And the communication between her and Sony Music is only through René, and René is a 71 year old who is no longer as commited as he was when she found Celine in 1981. Someone else needs to be in charge of her career. And then we have the big indifference in which Céline and Sony Music are installed since 2003. Céline never cared about managing her album promotions, and today they are only focused in the live concerts, which is what gives most of the money. And Sony knows that with little effort they do, they will still earn loads of money with whatever album they put out with Céline's name of it. Why to do more, when each part is content this way? Everyone is happy here, it seems. Except the fans And what annoys me the most is that the artistic side of Céline, the singer that wanted to record the more albums she could because she loved the recording studio and surpassing herself with the next album she recorded, just for the pleasure of it, its just gone. Vanished. Now its all about doing the most crazy number of repetitive shows she can, singing always the same setlist of songs invariably. Where's the artistry and the passion here? What's the challenge in doing 300 concers with the same songs you've been singing for 15 years? Now it's all about the money, and the fastest way to produce it: concerts. But that's not going to leave any legacy, at least not as the figure of Celine Dion "the artist" or "the singer". Maybe as Celine Dion "the business woman". Her legacy is in her albums and the songs she has recorded, not in how many years she has spent in Vegas singing MHWGO for a thousand times. And since 2003, she's living at the expense of the legacy she built from 1981-1999, but she no longer contributes nor helps to her legacy to keep growing in the decade 2003-2013 She's stagnated in what she achieved in the 90's, and she hasn't moved from that. It's sad. I admit it was the easiest option, too. But its so sad that as an artist, she doesn't have more ambitions for her career other than insanely performing the same songs forever and ever. Xpresso Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:05 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:05 AM Oh please let's not talk about Vegas and her legacy in every thread... 3
mirage Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:26 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:26 AM Dont get your hopes up... What in their eyes is a BIG announcement, could be nothing for us... So don't hope to much!! 1
dlh1 Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:30 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:30 AM Is it just me or is there still another 18 hrs or so to go until the 10th is over? Be patient people!!! 2
Chin Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:38 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:38 AM Since they removed the FB post of the delay and the pic of the announcement... I start to think that their "technical problem" hasn't being soloved yet!
Shaun Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:46 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:46 AM I'm still clutching onto the hope of an announcement about an updated edition of the versatile water bottle. LuisMa Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:56 AM Posted October 10, 2013 at 11:56 AM I think the postponement of the announcement is absolutely hilarious. It's so absurd that I have to wonder if someone on her team reads all the complaints about postponements on here and did this as a practical joke. The next thing you know, they're going to actually offer the lovely LMBTL versatile-water-bottle keychain that LuisMa designed. With the royalties I get from that I will organize a fantastic CDF fan meeting (transportation and accomodation included) so that we all meet and about Celine! 2
celinefanonline Posted October 10, 2013 at 12:20 PM Posted October 10, 2013 at 12:20 PM the big annoucement??????? 6 Courage don't you dare fail me now!
DionFanAlways Posted October 10, 2013 at 12:21 PM Posted October 10, 2013 at 12:21 PM (edited) You don't understand a thing... poor Celine Dion....She is the only one that has to make everything... there is no team... and Rene it's having fun in Vegas.... So she is not that good with technologies and she is the manager of the official web... so it is difficult to her to do it.. she has technical difficulties.... That's why we don't have a music video... she can not be shooting and appearing in the video at the same time.... it's so hard and she is the greatest mum... so she can't deal with everything... YOU ARE ASKING TOO MUCH.... -How it's going to take the press seriosly with this disaster team....- It's desperately funny...I was just posting the info because people are freaking out! LukeD Posted October 10, 2013 at 12:39 PM Posted October 10, 2013 at 12:39 PM (edited) ''technical issues'' my #ss! They can't fool anyone with this. If there is a real issue and they feel sorry about their unprofessionalism, then they better explain in detail what happened. Resorting to generic excuses makes them come off as lame. What can I say? The activity of her Twitter account, FB page and Vevo channel (at times) is embarrassing. To me, people behind them are a bunch of incompetent idiots. Edited October 10, 2013 at 12:40 PM by LukeD 7
LuisMa Posted October 10, 2013 at 12:46 PM Posted October 10, 2013 at 12:46 PM What happens is that they don't have a contingency plan. They should make sure EVERYTHING is ready before posting those darn announcements. Ok, everything is set and perfect to go, then announce something for the next two days to build anticipation, but I think they thought about something and posted the announcement first and then went ahead and started the preparations, and now that it is not feasible, the postponement was made. I wonder if there is a logistics expert, because when it comes to planning, coordination and implementation, I'll give them a measly F. 5
