I went to see Bodyguard the Musical last night, and it was really good. Was thinking when I was there that a Celine musical would be a-ma-zing. Not now, but in like 15 or 20 years' time...

 

Just imagine:

Little girl Celine, singing on the table in a bar. People stopping to listen amazed at her voice

Maman Dion writing Ce N'etait qu'un Reve and giving the tape to Rene

Rene mortgaging his house to fund Celine's career

Celine growing up and falling in love with Rene...

D'amour ou D'amitie

C'est pour Toi

Celine winning Eurovision with Ne Partez Pas sans Moi and kissing Rene for the first time

The huge wedding with the song Colour of my Love

Global domination....round the world tours, songs like It's all coming back to me, Think Twice, and maybe an acoustic set of French classics like Pour que tu m'aimes encore and Je Sais Pas

Rene's cancer - here we could have Because you Loved me and All by Myself

Struggles with iVF and the birth of RC - A new day has come

Birth of the twins and songs like Lullaby, La Mer et l'enfant

And finally you could end the show with My Heart will go on, depending on what happens in the next chapter of Celine's life.

 

They'd need to find the best singer in the world to portray Celine. But I think her life is interesting enough to be a musical...and we only know a tiny part of it. There must be loads more drama and intrigue behind the doors....
