donpi86 Posted October 25, 2013 at 12:58 PM Posted October 25, 2013 at 12:58 PM Here it is my NOVEMBER TOP 25(Celine Dion "Loved me back to life" will wait until December... This november songs are the one I discovered in October and will be stuck in my head...) 01. CELINE DION-DIDN'T KNOW LOVEIt goes straight to the number one... Great arrangements and a beautiful production by Eg White... you can feel that Adelish vibe...A song that suits perfect to Celine. Great work. 02. JOHN LEGEND- ALL OF MEsimply WOW. That's a ballad. beautiful. And a beautiful black and white video so recommended... 03. HOZIER- TAKE ME TO CHURCHThis is what I call a song from the deep chamber straight to your soul. With a meaningful message against homophobic attacks that happen lately. Great song. Great video too. 04. GLEE CAST- IF I DIE YOUNGThe Quaterback episode has been such a difficult moment for all the Glee followers. Such a sad episode. Great and deeply sung songs. Loved the lyrics of this one. And Naya Ribera was excellent. 05. GLEE CAST- NO SURRENDERAnother emotive song from The Quaterback episode. Mark Selling made a wonderful performance during the whole episode. 06. CELINE DION- LOVED ME BACK TO LIFECeline gets weaker but probably stronger when the album gets released... The no official video and this neglecting, and listening the snippets of the new songs have made me loose a little bit of interest in this song. 07. LORDE- TEAMThird single from this interesting singer that reminds me to lana del Rey. This song has the same feeling that Royals, so I love it... 08. MIKE ZUBI- SOMEBODY LOVES SOMEBODYDefinitely the best feeling for this Celine Dion original song. LOve the voice and the guitar. This acoustic version makes the song great. I prefer this contribution of this forum member much more than the original Celine's. 09. LADY GAGA- AURAWhat I think it was supposed to be the second single because they release the lyrics video with Machete movie but then the success of the R. Kelly song has pushed this single... For me, I feel in love with this song when I heard it in the Itunes Festival concert. It was the opening song. 10. AVICCI- WAKE ME UPThis song keeps stuck in my mind and mp3... 11. ALOE BLACC- I NEED A DOLLAROne of the consequences of Wake me Up song has been discover this great great singer called Aloe Blacc... He have wonderful songs and goes straight to my mp3 favourites. 12. JAY-Z FEAT. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE- HOLY GRAILOne of the best duets of the year and a really powerful song... it was supposed to be higher this month but all the new singles have pushed it back... But I really like this song. 13. BASTILLE- THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIREGetting weaker in the list... too many new singles... 14. LADY GAGA- APPLAUSEI really expect high things from this album... 15. LORDE- ROYALSTeam is the new one so this Royals starts to be unnecessary... Also I'm starting to get tired of listening to it everyday everywhere. 16. JAMES BLUNT- SUN ON SUNDAYHere it comes again James Blunt with a new album, and he is one of the most talented ballads songwriter. This is a good example from the new album. 17. JANELLE MONAE- WHAT AN EXPERIENCEI need this song to be happy everyday. 18. JANELLE MONAE- DANCE APOCALYPTICDance dance dance! A shower and this song.... perfect to start a saturday night... 19. JAMIE CULLUM- SAVE YOUR SOULOne of the best songs from 2013.. it still deserves to be in the list 20. ALOE BLACC FEAT. JOEL VAN DIJK- I GOT THE BLUESThe kind of song that you only need to hear once to feel it is a really great song. 21. JANELLE MONAE FEAT. MIGUEL- PRIMETIMEThat intimate song.... 22. ALOE BLACC- GREEN LIGHTSGrowing in me... 23. THE LUMINEERS- DARLENEThe last entrance on the list. This is a Bonus Track from the Deluxe Edition of the first album of this great band. When I first hear the album I guess I missed more easy listening and soft songs and this new additions have it... This is a beautiful track that would have been in the original tracklist... 24. KANYE WEST- BLOOD ON THE LEAVESEven I like much more and it's not on the list the original Nina Simone Strange Fruit, (that here it is a sample). The sound of this song makes me feel so stronger everytime I hear it. As I said before.. I don't understand much more of the lyrics but the music... yeahh.. 25. JANELLE MONAE FEAT. PRINCE- GIVIN EM WHAT THEY LOVEResists this month... don't know exactly why... but it will dissappear the next month for sure... Quote

I don't understand so well this comment I guess if you are being totally sarcastic... well.. everything you say always sounds sarcastic to me because of that gifs you put... The point is that I don't use last.fm but a definitely make playlist in Grooveshark... (plenty of free time) But Itunes playlist is the place to re-read my charts and play with the positions in private.... I know... I need a girlfriend.... Quote
LuisMa Posted November 1, 2013 at 07:43 PM Author Posted November 1, 2013 at 07:43 PM You never have Spanish songs at #1? Only 2 Spanish songs have reached number one! donpi86 Posted November 23, 2013 at 10:26 PM Posted November 23, 2013 at 10:26 PM DECEMBER MY TOP 25. THE GAGA/DION MONTH 1. LADY GAGA-DOPEA standard ballad by Gaga?? Be welcome! Love it... it could be a normal Aguilera ballad but coming from Gaga I will take like something new... I think she has never made a ballad in his albums... 2.CELINE DION-THANKFULThe best Dion ballad probably since I Surrender... Love the final chorus and I think the lyrics are more deep than other typical Celine ballads... That "soul" touch always feels great in Celine. I'm wishing that Jazz-Soul album... 3. CELINE DION-BREAKAWAYThe best from LMBTL. She goes heartbreaking and sad and god! I'm Thankful for that... life is not always cheesy and lovely in love... sometimes it hurts and it's hard to breakaway. Well constructed lyrics. Thanks! Finally! 4. ALOE BLACC FEAT. JOEL VAN DIJK-I GOT THE BLUESThis song it's growing really deep in me... Such a perfect song, just go straight to the soul. Really great! 5.HOZIER-TAKE ME TO CHURCHStill stuck in my head. 6. LADY GAGA-SWINEYeah! Move! move! move! I really love this crazy songs. Powerful and free. Just let your body moves as it wants. gaga really knows how to do it... In general, ARTPOP sounds so free... 7. M.I.A.-COME WALK WITH MEIf Gaga only gives mainstream music to common people it is because it exists artists like M.I.A. really compromised with their style and music. She is really CRAZY. Every sound serves for the final composition. Just let yourself go and enjoy it. I think I don't know enough about music to define this artist but it really makes me feel that I'm listening something serious. Gaga is like the commercial cousin of M.I.A. 8.LADY GAGA-MANiCURETalking about this M.I.A thing... this songs reminds me of that collaboration between Madonna and M.I.A and Nicki Minaj "Give me all your Luvin'". Like kind of very classy pop. I can imagine a lot of Cheerleaders dancing this... (going wild for the last part of the song) 9. PHARRELL WILLIAMS-HAPPYFRom the Despicable Me 2 Soundtrack. If someone has to wake me up with a smile... that's Pharrell Williams. Really crazy and interesting is the 24hrs music video experiment for this song... Still I don't know how they do it to have always synchronized the song with the video wherever hour of the day you put the mouse... You have to try it to know what I'm talking about... hard to explain... 10. LADY GAGA-GYPSYVery similar probably to "Marry the Night". Love this Gaga close to the 80's. 11.CELINE DION-SAVE YOUR SOULBe welcoming every intention of something "new" in Celine career... It's a pitty they stay halfway to something... always playing in the limits of the safe zone pleasing that thing called "adult-contemporary" music that I don't know exactly what it is... At least... let's enjoy the verses and the rap part... 12.LORDE-TEAMThis song would be higher in the chart if there were no Gaga or Dion... Everytime I hear this song in my mp3 I like it more and more... 13. CELINE DION-WATER AND A FLAMEAs I have said before in other discussions... Eg White has been the best thing in Celine Dion career for years... Hope that relation creates a whole album...This one at the end it is a good proof but a wasted opportunity to make something NEW... This song it is a beautiful Adele/Merriweather duet and even it suits perfectly to Celine's voice. It is still very stuck in my head the original (what it was one of my favorites years ago) But I like to get back in time and listening in Celine's voice it's great too. 14. JOHN LEGEND-ROLL JORDAN ROLLFrom the 12 Years a Slave soundtrack I think here John Legend it is covering a classic song. Legend's voice it is really great and sounds always so depth that goes straight to my soul... 15. LADY GAGA-AURAWild! 16. GARY CLARK JR.-(IN THE EVENING) WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWNAnother powerful soul voice. another 12 Years Slave movie soundtrack. The guitar in this song just simply lifts me up. 17. LADY GAGA-APPLAUSEGetting a little bit tired but still makes me move my body like crazy... 18. JAY Z FEAT. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE- HOLY GRAILYes... that first change in the song when Justin says Holy Grail.... Still makes me feel like... Yeah! And then the Nirvana part.... this song has it all... 19. CELINE DION-DIDN'T KNOW LOVEFor me this is one of the best songs from LMBTL but somehow I think that by the moment I have burnt it in my mind.. Since it was leaked.. I have hear it sooo many times that I get a little bit tired from it... Still it is a really great song... 20. AVICII FEAT. ALOE BLACC-WAKE ME UPStill in pubs and discos every saturday and still in my mind... still good feelings and remembrances of the summer... 21. BASTILLE- THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIREGetting weaker in the chart... 22. LORDE-ROYALS"we are driving cadillacs in our dreamings"... 23. JAMIE CULLUM-SAVE YOUR SOULThis definitely has been the best song from 2013 and still deserves to be in my personal chart at least till the year ends... 24. JANELLE MONAE FEAT PRINCE- GIVIN EM WHAT THEY LOVEA filler survivor... hahaha 25. KANYE WEST- BLOOD ON THE LEAVESWhat still resist in this song it is the Nina Simone sample "Strange Fruit". That mixed with the kanye's "anger" makes a powerful song. Quote

donpi86 Posted December 30, 2013 at 06:02 PM Posted December 30, 2013 at 06:02 PM HERE MY JANUARY 2014 CHART: 01.BREAKAWAY-CELINE DIONDefinitely the best Celine ballad since LTAL album. Beautiful and meaningful lyrics and perfect dated music arrangements... I think I'm never going to get tired of screaming along this song.. hahaha 02.WATER AND A FLAME-CELINE DIONA real mature song that it looked like Celine team forgot about this... A really great song with a really great production... the "drink to get me out" phrase ... at least Celine... getting some real dark here... 03. ROSEAUX-CLARAO DA LUAMy sister discover me this month this band, probably because they made a collaboration with Aloe Blacc... Love them, their music sounds so intimate, you have the sense they are singing specially for you. Really great. 04. SWINE- LADY GAGAsimply crazy. 05. HEY BROTHER- AVICIIEven I didn't like it at first, this photocopy of "Wake me Up" has grow on me and it will be very present in my weekend nights for the next weeks so.. let's enjoy it! 06. TALK DIRTY- JASON DERULO FEAT. 2CHAINZNormally, I don't pay attention to this music but my friend ask me for this song and since then.. there are that trumpets in the chorus... and then all that rhythm that makes you shake your body.. yeah... like it! 07. BLOW- BEYONCÉThis song reminds me of "Love on Top", this disco feeling... let's move it! 08. STAY ALIVE-JOSÉ GONZÁLEZThis song from the The adventures of Walter Mitty OST is one of those that lifts up your spirit really high. Some kind of must listen every morning just to keep going on... 09. DOPE- LADY GAGAThis is still one of the best ballads of the year and I think the very first from Gaga... 10. DIDN'T KNOW LOVE- CELINE DIONJust waiting and hoping that Eg White and Celine collaborates again... 11. DOWN THE LINE- JOHN NEWMANJohn Newman has a soulful voice, so deep, and used for a ballad it becomes magical. Another soft song for rainy and cold winter days... 12. SHOT REVERSE SHOT- JACK JOHNSONJohnson's crazy lyrics are always so funny and (for me) impossible to follow but always so positive and happy... He is the light. Hpefully I'll be watching him again this summer at Bilbao BBK Live festival. :-) 13. LET'S TAKE A WALK- RAPHAEL SAADIQJust put this song on your mp3 on the street and walk... feel really good. 14. PARTITION- BEYONCÉBeyoncé getting really hard, Jay-Z influence maybe?? It sounds great! 15. ROCKIN ALONE (IN AN OLD ROCKIN'N CHAIR)- BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG & NORAH JONESThis special two voices have get together to reedit this american classic album by Everly Brothers. It sounds really great, a delicate and soft sound. 16. THANKFUL- CELINE DIONIt was my favourite song from the album but this is what happens with this powerful ballads... that are so huge that it is easier to get tired of... But still is one of my favourites probably from her whole career. 17. GYPSY- LADY GAGAAnother song to get crazy in a sunny morning 18. HAPPY- PHARRELL WILLIAMSIt speaks by itself.. 19. (IN THE EVENING) WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN- GARY CLARCK JR.Beautiful song from the 12 years a Slave soundtrack. Incredible movie and soundtrack. 20. TAKE ME TO CHURCH- HOZIERGetting weaker in my mp3 but still has something so strong in the chorus and the story behind the lyrics... 21. SAVE YOUR SOUL- CELINE DIONAlways a pitty that this song is not what it should be... just a spark of the huge flame it could have been... 22. APPLAUSE- LADY GAGAIt's impossible not to move everytime it plays.. 23. ROLL JORDAN ROLL- JOHN LEGENDOne of the strongest emtional moments of the movie 12 years a slave and they sing this song....really tough. 24. AURA- LADY GAGALove the M.I.A. inspiration.. 25. HOLY GRAIL- JAY Z FEAT JUSTIN TIMBERLAKEIt is impossible just to get tired of this song... 1 Quote

But Treasure in position 91.... that's a Sin... It should have been in the top 20... hahaha By the way... what happen to Mel B.... She is like two times Mel B, she should be recalled Mel BB Quote
LuisMa Posted December 31, 2013 at 12:50 PM Author Posted December 31, 2013 at 12:50 PM Well, as she's not there this year (LMBTL is at number 126) that's why I decided to feature her on the introduction. She has topped the year-end countdowns in 92, 94, 95, 98, and 99, so she's not that angry. Mel B looks great in her video, but that segment I chose does not favor her. Yes, I've always been into pop, but country, rock and R&B have also topped my chart. I even had one Heavy Metal song at number one in 1990. Quote

I, too, am a bit aghast that you don't have Celine in your chart! Are only commercially released singles eligible for the chart? Cause I know that if I were doing a chart, I wouldn't have LMBTL on it either, but I'd have SLS or Breakaway at the top, cause I loved them the most this year! Also love Josh Groban's Brave! Amazing song! I was kind of obsessed with it when it first came out around February. It reminds me of Celine's situation a bit in that some radio stations -- in particular 106.7 in NYC -- played it at first, giving it a chance, but it just didn't catch on, and they stopped. And I'm at a loss to understand why -- the first time I heard it, I just had to stop and listen to the amazingness of it! Quote
LuisMa Posted January 2, 2014 at 07:53 AM Author Posted January 2, 2014 at 07:53 AM Yes, it's only commercially released singles, Lisa. : Otherwise, a few tracks might have made it. 1 Quote

donpi86 Posted January 26, 2014 at 03:48 PM Posted January 26, 2014 at 03:48 PM Here's another nobody-cares-personal-music-chart for February 2014: 01. BREAKAWAY- CELINE DIONAnd still has the power and strengh to keep growing on me.... it's simple... it's the best Celine since 1997. 02.PINE TREES- JAKE BUGGEven I fell in love with the debut album... this second album was a little harder for me but I knew I was going to find the joy listening to it a few more times. This kid is everything Bieber should have been (watching the youtube acoustics) but the american business and fame never let it be... Jake Bugg knows how to make good music although he is less experienced than others artist... He is the exception to the nowadays young artists... 03.WATER AND A FLAME- CELINE DION"I need a drink to get me out"... yes... 04. DOPE- LADY GAGAStill chilling me... Listening to this song I have the feeling that I have reach the bottom of my sadnesss but there is always a light to hold on... The desperation mixed with the hope in this song it's so strong... 05. PARTITION- BEYONCÉOh yeah... sexy...psysically and musically. 06. IN SUMMER- JOSH GADHahahahaha... yes.... this christmash movie and a surprising jewel in Disney filmography. Frozen it's intelligent and magical and the snowman is simply amazing.. and this song... wow... The best moment... 07. LET'S TAKE A WALK- RAPHAEL SAADIQWalking with my headphones and suddenly the world changes.. it's more sexy and colorful... yes.. this song is playing... 08. ANGEL OF SMALL DEATH & THE CODEINE SCENE- HOZIERHozier is one of the most powerful new musicians and I hope that his debut album comes soon but by the moment let's enjoy this EP. Hozier sings from a deep chamber and you have the feeling that he is telling you the absolute truth. He goes straight to your soul. 09. CLARAO DA LUA- ROSEAUX FEAT. ALOE BLACCThis album collaboration between Roseaux and Aloe Blacc it is pure pleasure to your ears. The finesse of the musicians mixed with the deep Blacc's voice makes magic. 10. COMO UN ANIMAL- NAJWAProbably this is the first spanish incorporation to my charts... And I must say I'm not to friendly with this artist... But a friend discovered me this delicate composition with the wonderful voice of the singer/actress/artist Najwa Nimri and the result it is an enjoyable listening experience. A moment to relax... 11.SWINE- LADY GAGAIt doesn't matter where I am but everytime I hear this song I just want to get crazy and move so fast and freely... 12. TALK DIRTY- JASON DERULO FEAT. 2CHAINZYeah... the other night finally I could dance this song in a pub... 13. HAPPY- PHARRELL WILLIAMSBecause I'm Haaappyyyyyyyyyy... 14. A SONG ABOUT LOVE- JAKE BUGGThe title says it all... 15. RETROGRADE- JAMES BLAKEThe music production of this guy it's simply amazing... it takes you to another space, to a higher level... a pure orgasm to your ears. 16. STAY ALIVE- JOSÉ GONZÁLEZEverytime I hear this song... I want to run... far away... It is a pitty that I'm a lazy man.... hahaha and the song it's just 4 minutes long... 17. DIDN'T KNOW LOVE- CELINE DIONC'mon... next album: Celine Dion sings Eg White 18. DOWN THE LINE- JOHN NEWMANIt's sad because I thought that this song will grow on me but I'm kind of forgetting it... It is a beautiful ballad but something is missing I guest... 19. SHOT REVERSE SHOT- JACK JOHNSONCool boy... cool... hahaha 20. ROCKIN ALONE (IN AN OLD ROCKIN CHAIR)- BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG & NORAH JONESThis two voices together sounds like a deep hug... so relaxing... I feel like I want to lay down in the bed and pass the rest of the eternity listening to this... 21. THANKFUL- CELINE DIONIt was my first favourite of the album but being a standard in Celine career... it is easier to forget... 22. GYPSY- LADY GAGAThis song gives me life every morning... 23. IN THE EVENING (WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN)- GARY CLARK JR.All my best wishes to 12 Years a Slave in the road to the oscars... It deserves to be the best movie of the year... Keep enjoying this song from the soundtrack. 24. SAVE YOUR SOUL- CELINE DIONThe best "it-could-have-been" of the year (2013) 25. APPLAUSE- LADY GAGAApplause saying goodbye to this chart... your time is gone... 1 Quote

donpi86 Posted February 28, 2014 at 08:50 PM Posted February 28, 2014 at 08:50 PM Lets see my personal music chart for March: 01. LIAR LIAR- CRIS CAB FEAT. PHARRELL WILLIAMSGod!, everything this guy is involved to sounds just marvelous... I can't wait to Pharrell Williams album to be released and hope all the songs sounds as good as this collaborations... This song sounds so fresh... I love everything of this... 02. MY LIGHTHOUSE- REND COLLECTIVEThis is one of those songs which rhythm makes you smile and think in a lot of good moments... I'm just happy when I hear it... YOU ARE THE PEACE IN MY TROUBLED SEA.... Yeah! 03. BREAKAWAY- CELINE DIONStill my favorite in the shower to sing along so crazy and soo loud.... 04. PINE TREES- JAKE BUGGThis song is soo perfect... 05. OVERJOYED- BASTILLEI'm not going to discover nothing right now talking about Bastille and the massive success they have had... BUt I'm discovering them now, even I got in my charts months ago "Things We Lost in The Fire". But now I've got the complete album and I can understand the success and the quality of the songs. Maybe I could say that I think they have a little bit of excessive post-production and sound effects, for example with this song, that has beautiful lyrics and I prefer some acoustic versions I have heard of the song. 06. DEEPER- ELLE EYREFirst of all, thanks to Jeff Abbott that discovered me this song and it is stuck in my mind... Yeah! Love the style of this girl and great song!! One of the best discoveries of the New Music 2014 topic. 07. OUT OF MY HEAD- JOHN NEWMANI've just got the Tribute Album and I'm pretty sure this guy is going to be on my charts for a while... Such and special and personal voice... He is incredible. And I recommend you to see the video of this single... Simply amazing black and white slow mo... 08. HOLDING ON FOR LIFE- BROKEN BELLSBee Gees are back! great chorus... so cool. Thanks again to Jeff Abbott, even I have heard the song in some channels several times.. ;-) This song has a lot of flow... it is like very easy going. Easy to get lost and let you into the rhythm hahaha! Disco lights in slow motion... (and the freakiest video in months.. haha) 09. WATER AND A FLAME- CELINE DIONIt is a pity that this song didn't have the success it deserves in UK... It could have been the next "Power of Love" cover replacement... But it's not time for Celine Dion anymore... 10. ICARUS- BASTILLEThe main singer from this band, Dan Smith, has such an amazing voice and it gets at his best with the dramatic arrangements like in this song... Also the percussion is one of the best assets the band have. 11. OF THE NIGHT- BASTILLE New and modern cover from the old fashioned hit Rythm Of The Night. The new hit from Bastille... It was hard for me the first time I heard it... but after listening few times (all day in the radios) I started to like it... Again, maybe, too much sound effects... 12. DOWN THE LINE- JOHN NEWMANI think you are going to have the impression that John Newman only makes ballads... not at all.. he have a lot of uptempo songs in the sound of the 60's.. but for sure I always prefer the saddest songs in the albums... hahahaha... Maybe because of his voice... haha... 13. PARTITION- BEYONCÉYeah... sexy mami! 14. ANGEL OF SMALL DEATH & THE CODEINE SCENE- HOZIERSuch a complicated title but a really great song. As I always say... music from a great and deep chamber. 15. TALK DIRTY- JASON DERULO FEAT. 2 CHAINZMove it! Still inevitable to dance everytime I hear this trumpets... 16. A SONG ABOUT LOVE- JAKE BUGGThe Title says it all 17. HAPPY- PHARRELL WILLIAMSMr. Williams... I NEED MOOOOOREE.. SOMETHING NEEEWW 18. THE MOON SONG- KAREN O. AND EZRA KOENINGA special song for a special movie, "Her". The same great minimalism to express the deepest feelings about love. Fragility becoming a song... 19. RETROGRADE- JAMES BLAKEA pleasure for the ears. 20. TURNING OUT... - BASTILLEwow... This is a crazy tune to hear very loud and in the darkness. The perfect song I think to close and album (this time the second album from the special edition of Bad Blood) 21.THANKFUL- CELINE DIONMy second favorite to scream/sing along in the shower... hahahaha 22. ROCKIN' ALONE (IN AN OLD ROCKIN' CHAIR)- BILLIE JOE & NORAH JONESWhat a great song... a lot of imagined stories come to my mind... it is really inspirational.. 23. GYPSY- LADY GAGAWhat's wrong with Gaga??? She has a lot of potential singles to make great music videos again... BUt I think she has been really f**ked... 24. (IN THE EVENING) WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN- GARY CLARCK JR.I've just finished the book "12 years a slave" And I really hope the movie has all the possible oscars on Sunday... It really deserves them. Such a great story and history that it is always good to be reminded just not to be repeated again. 25. SAVE YOUR SOUL- CELINE DIONSaying goodbye to the chart for the next month... another new style of LMBTL and just simply abandoned in the safe zone... 1 Quote
