Everyone from provacateur du jour Miley Cyrus to the biggest wig-wearer of them all, Cher, is releasing new music in what is the biggest release time of the year leading up to Christmas.

 

So when all is said and done, which of these six formidable throat warblers - Britney Spears, Beyonce and Rihanna are also said to be working on new discs and Mariah Carey delayed the release of hers earlier this year - will emerge the victor saleswise?

 

Will it be hip surgery recoverer Lady Gaga, Roar-ing singer Katy Perry or coming-for-comebacks Canadians Avril Lavigne or Celine Dion, the latter who are going wo-mano-a-wo-man-o by releasing on the same day in November?

 

My best guess is a certain foam finger-carrying singer might be the one to beat with Perry a close second. (Release dates are subject to change.)

Good news: It's the Quebec chanteuse's first English album in six years - featuring duets by the likes of Ne-Yo and Stevie Wonder and a cover of Janis Ian's Seventeen - and she'll have a ready-made marketing tool with her ongoing residency at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace.

 

Bad news: The 45-year-old says this is her edgiest album yet - the first single and title track is a power ballad with a bit of a hip-hop feel.

 

Chances of sales victory: She'll be fourth behind the Miley-Katy-Gaga trifecta.

I can understand Katy and gaga , they are at the peak of their careers now ...but Miley??

Come on!! Celine could kick her twerking behind any day!!

Guys, what does this mean??????? What is the audience range of this?

 

It sounds really independent (listening to their comments), though the cute fag is arguably a genuine diva-weak.

The reason why Miley is on top now is one word SCANDAL.

 

Can you imagine Celine doing what Miley did in her music video or at VMA?! (Though I didn't watch this! I'm not taking that risk...)

If Celine did that she would have zillions of views! That's not what we want for her I'm sure you will agree with me... :doh:

 

Of course we want better promotion, LMBTL on the radio all day and millions of views. But I'm so happy that we have what we have.

Namely an amazing new song and our Queen on the top of her abilities (I really believe that!) :wub:

 

So don't bother about miss M, K, G and whatever... :wtf:

Doesn't help that some girl went to sing I drove all night by Celine dion on X factor UK and they stopped her and said something like "Celine Dion?, you need something current not dated.

So she sang something else and got through but after they where like well song choices like that won't get her on radio!!!

WTH??

The problem wasn't even the song choice the girl just wasn't strong singing IDAN!!

I hope she tears them a new a******....what a f****** prick. These talent shows are hardly the epitome of cool...contestants usually resort to singing Celine-Mariah-Whitney anyway because it gives them the chance to showcase their vocals

Soooo... hahahahaha the say that the Celine I Drove All Night is soo outdated but she sings Songbird from 60's or 70's Fleetwood Mac and that's Ok! Hahahahahahahahahaha

Gary Barlow it's such a crap of person.. go and try to remake Take That.....

 

They could have say that it is true, the girl pick the wrong song but not because it is old fashioned, it is becaus it is probably so hard to sing for this girl that she hasn't got the voice to do it well for an audition... hahahaha... sometimes this "judges" kill me... hahaha

Wow to say that a song which came out not that long ago is outdated is funny to me. Maybe the song it's self with Orbison is old but Celine's geese! You wonder where people's heads are.

Billboard has finally reviewed LMBTL the song... if only billboard would feature more of these articles on Celine.. in the same manner they would write about every single development on Katy Gaga or Brits new singles and albums...

Roy Orbison was singing that song first...a long time ago! lol

 

Roy recorded his version first but remained unreleased until after he died. Cyndi recorded and released her version before Roy's was released.
