elsietang Posted August 28, 2013 at 06:29 PM Posted August 28, 2013 at 06:29 PM (edited) Waiting for the Celine Dion show was agonizing for both of us. The anticipation of waiting for her to come on stage and then finally when the curtains were drawn, there she was ... WOW, just WOW!!! When she sang Open Arms and the curtains fell, revealing the orchestra … breathtaking!!! I think I shed a tear when I saw the beautiful of it!!! There were some funny parts, when she was singing Because You Loved Me, she walked to the left of the stage and saw a guy had fallen asleep, she said to the audience there, “Don’t wake him, Don’t wake him”. Everyone was falling about laughing at him!!! He was seated Front Orchestra, Section 6, I think row 4, so he was pretty close to the stage!! When she asked the audience to sing the last part of Because You Loved Me with her, she said, pointing at the sleeping guy, “… apart from him .. “ and we all laughed again. Later, when she came out to sing Love Can Move Mountains, she was very energetic, and the audience fed off her energy and we were all standing up dancing with her, when once again, she spotted the man and he was awake, up and dancing!! She ran over to that side of the stage, saying, “He’s awake, He’s awake” and gave him a high five!! Way to get noticed!!! Another thing that I have noticed was that 2 seats at the Front Centre of the stage were empty at the beginning of the show. Later when she went for a custume change, 2 people came in and sat down. Really? If I had those tickets, I would be there, bang on when the doors open!!! I felt that it was pretty disrespectful to Celine to turn up late after the show has started!! My daughter was absolutely mesmerized with the show!!! She was just in awe of the beauty of her voice!! I asked her what was her favorite part of the show and she told me, “Just Celine, Mummy, Just Celine … and when the curtains fall away at the beginning and My Heart Will Go On … the part where she rises from the floor and have the water effect around her!!” She has not stopped talking about Celine since she has been home!!! Every so often, she will come up to me and say, "Mummy, Celine is so much better live, her voice is so beautiful!!! So different from listening to her CDs and watching her on TV!!" Since she has been home, she has asked me to put on 'A New Day" and "Taking Chances" DVD for her to watch. I have nothing to compare this night’s performance to as it is my first time in Vegas to see her but she was on fire that night and her voice was just beyond this world!!! Everything was so perfect, she was perfect, her voice was perfect … she is truly the Queen of Vegas!!! I think I have fallen in love with her all over again!! The awe of just being in the same building as her and to spend the evening with her was just overwhelming!!! Gave her lots of standing ovations!!! Just wish we stayed another night to catch one more show!!! I said to my husband when we got back, that we will be saving for Front Row tickets next time!!! I will definitely be back to see her again and I can’t wait!!! Edited August 28, 2013 at 06:33 PM by elsietang 6 Quote

It's great when something unexpected happens and she responds. Thanks for the review! Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

aafass Posted August 29, 2013 at 05:50 AM Posted August 29, 2013 at 05:50 AM Thanks for the great review! When I was there, I went alone and had a seat in the upper balcony. I had talked with an usher before the show, and I told him about myself and that I was alone. He mentioned that there was one seat towards the front that had not been sold, and if no one showed up/bought it, it was mine. During Because You Loved Me, he came and got me and took me to the front. I remember Celine looking at me walking in, and I was thinking "I hope she doesn't think I am disrespectful enough to show up late!!!" I have no idea if this is what happened with the people who sat in the front during your concert, but possibly they were moved up front? I know first hand that Caesars Palace has great people working for them who are willing to make peoples' experiences unforgettable. Quote

Thanks for the review! When I went about 2 weeks ago three people fell asleep in the row in front of us (which was 1st row) and one person in the row behind us. They were a group of like 5 kids ranging from early 20s to like 10 and parents. ehild Posted August 31, 2013 at 05:55 PM Posted August 31, 2013 at 05:55 PM How could anyone go to sleep during the concert?? I get some guys are husbands, or whoever, there with someone else to see the show......but still, how can you go to sleep at a show? Especially Celine's! I'm glad she turned it into a memorable moment. That's awesome!! I was there on Tuesday, the 27th, and I saw them move some people in our section down to the orchestra section. So maybe the people that came up there then, were moved, too, if those seats were never purchased. I know they like to fill those front sections. But I'm with you on the idea that if I spent that much money on tickets I'd be there right from the start! Quote ~Liz"Please don't make your career your life. Let it be your passion, let it bring you pleasure, but don't let it become your identity. You are so much more valuable than that." -Celine
