reamary Posted August 10, 2013 at 08:35 PM Posted August 10, 2013 at 08:35 PM Helloo. I'm going to Canada for three months this fall, first on a study tour and then I'm going to spend 2 months in Ottawa, doing an internship. And now I should soon start searching for a place to stay during the internship. We are going to be 6 interns there and the best would probably be to find an accomodation to share, to save some money and of course it's nicer to have roommates and company when you're in a foreign country. Now if there's anyone from Ottawa here, or who knows the city and can give any kind of tips what so ever, I'd be more than willing to hear them! Like what are the "good" (aka the safest) areas to look for accomodation for example, and whether there are some areas you think should be avoided etc. I know very little about Ottawa, for now, so really ANY tip would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance! Quote http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o419/reamary/1338b390-8604-432c-8a00-e8e1052a92ba.jpgHELSINKI 9.6.2008 - PARIS 26.11.2013 - PARIS 28.6.2016 - STOCKHOLM 17.6.2017 !
Del Posted August 11, 2013 at 01:24 PM Posted August 11, 2013 at 01:24 PM I unfortunately don't know Ottawa enough to suggest places to stay during your internship there, however if you need places to visit while you're there I can suggest some for you. Quote Instagram: @delphis78

brujocrow Posted August 12, 2013 at 10:35 PM Posted August 12, 2013 at 10:35 PM I had no idea the architecture was so amazing! Just curious about your internship. Would you share what that is? It's no ones business of course. You know I had a Finish table at work. It was next to the Helsinki. May I be the first to welcome you to a country I don't live in. Del Posted August 20, 2013 at 11:44 PM Posted August 20, 2013 at 11:44 PM Yes please I would love to hear your suggestions! A tour of Parliament is a must. It's better when there government is on holiday as you can go into the House of Commons and Senate and see what it looks like. The Royal Canadian Mint is also interesting to see. There's the Musee des Beaux Arts, The market area and Musee des Civilization across the river in Gatineau Quebec. You can also visit the Supreme Court of Canada, although you need to make an appointment to get a tour. These are just a few things are worth seeing. Quote Instagram: @delphis78
