Andy Man Posted July 29, 2013 at 01:56 PM Posted July 29, 2013 at 01:56 PM CBC has released their list of the 100 Greatest Canadian Albums. Falling Into You has been placed at #33 - which is pretty incredible when you consider the quality of the albums listed. Below is what has been written about the album: Album: Falling Into You (1996)Artist: Celine Dion“This album would be not only her most commercially successful, but unquestionably the best English-language album of her career. The songwriting was better, the production was more exquisitely crafted and it was less ham-fisted and excessive than most of her music. Though of course it was still excessive, or it wouldn’t be Celine Dion. It’s not everybody’s cup of herbally infused, imported green tea, but it’s the closest Celine ever came to that moment in an artist’s life when they have a Midas touch. It would soon be overshadowed by the massive impact of her Titanictheme song, "My Heart Will Go On," where the bombast would crush the humanity of the performance. But if she’d made more albums as moving as Falling Into You, even the haters would have to give her more respect.” — Carl Wilson, music critic/author Quote
TommKat22 Posted August 5, 2013 at 06:29 AM Posted August 5, 2013 at 06:29 AM That's so funny because wasn't Carl Wilson the one who wrote that book about Let's Talk About Love? The one called; A Journey to the End of Taste, or something like that? Lol Quote Tommy

Prima_Donna1 Posted August 5, 2013 at 01:19 PM Posted August 5, 2013 at 01:19 PM Wow I love a review with some slightly shady references of how the album is blah. Thanks for the info because it is still good to know nevertheless. Quote Apprends-Moi tes Secrets...http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy180/miss_daly2881/post-1110-0-56076900-1358706235_thumb.jpg

Yes I thought the same since there were a good number of Francophone albums listed. I thought that between D'eux or Falling Into You that D'eux would be listed. Still nice to see Celine get some recognition though considering most albums included are classic singer-songwriter records. I thought the reviewer was very balanced with his review - especially the last statement (To this day I feel as if FIY has the most evident consistency and effort put into it than any of her other English albums).
