celinefan1985 Posted July 25, 2013 at 11:12 PM Posted July 25, 2013 at 11:12 PM As a lot of us have been dissapointed with Sony for a good number of years, I thought we should give them credit when credit was do: 1) Kuddos for Sans Attendre. A remarkable album(Eventhough some single choices left to be desired. Not releasing SA the song and SJNRDT was dissapointing to many of us); 2) Kuddos for not releasing the English album a week after the French one allowing SA to have it's place in the sun; 3) Kuddos for abandoning the original dumb concept of 6 new songs/ 6 Vegas tracks and taking the time to record fresh material up to the minute. I think Celine and her team will be rewarded with strong sales if what we heard so far is any indication; 4) Kuddos for ditching the little *CENSORED*'s song as the album title. As it happens, the new title is much more interesting and dynamic. I happen to like the song but hope it will not get released. He doesn't deserve any additional royalties. Daniel can go on being a "real" and "starving" artist as far as I'm concerned 3 Quote
Lindah1984 Posted July 26, 2013 at 07:36 AM Posted July 26, 2013 at 07:36 AM Yesterday I was looking at some different Sony facebook pages and I saw that a lot of them didn't have Celine Dion in their list of liked pages. I think that's sloppy. But, they do some good. Otherwise they would not be there. It is not so clear to me who does what or who is responsible for something. But if your points are choices of Sony then it's good. Quote

But if your points are choices of Sony then it's good. They've given Celine free reign as their top artist for nearly 20 years - even at the same time Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey were still on their label. They are an exceptional label with a rich heritage - they've made a few bad choices over the years, but they one of the biggest reasons that Celine is where she is today. Lets not kid ourselves here, talent alone doesn't guarantee you success - neither does good management [Rene]. You need a combination of everything, and Sony is as responsible for making Celine a legend as anyone else. 1 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?
