elsietang Posted July 12, 2013 at 04:49 AM Posted July 12, 2013 at 04:49 AM Hi, Has anyone taken their children or seen people with kids at Celine Dion's Las Vegas Show? I ask, because my husband has brought me tickets for my birthday to see her at the end of August. I am taking my 7 year old daughter with me as my husband is going to be at home with our 3 year old daughter. My daughter is a little non stop chatterbox and I am worried that she will natter away while I am trying to concentrate on the show. She is so excited, more so that me as I have promised her since she was 3 that I will take her to a Celine Dion concert. She wanted to go with me to her Vancouver show when she was on her last World Tour but we said she was too young at 3 years old. We have been practising keeping quiet during movie nights. I really don't want to put pressure on her as she is only 7 years old, but I will be really annoyed if we get chucked out with making too much noise!!! At the end of the day, I think she will be ok and will really enjoy the show. I just really wanted to know if any of you, who have been to her show, seen children there. Thank you in advance... and end of August can't come quick enough. We are always talking about our forthcoming trip and all the excited things we're going to see in Las Vegas, but most of all the show. I am trying to stop myself from going on youtube and checking out the videos to her show!!! Quote
CelineDionForeverNY Posted July 12, 2013 at 04:03 PM Posted July 12, 2013 at 04:03 PM (edited) It's perfectly fine! On July 5th, when I went to see the show, there was a man sitting with a baby on his lap and Celine just kept waving to it when she was singing How Do You Keep The Music Playing. DionFanAlways Posted July 12, 2013 at 10:53 PM Posted July 12, 2013 at 10:53 PM I've seen children there before. No problem. Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

R.d Phillips Posted July 13, 2013 at 04:14 PM Posted July 13, 2013 at 04:14 PM Thank you to all those who replied!!! Roll on to the end of August.... Celine, here we come!!! I think you are a wonderful parent I really wish my mom would take me to Celine's concert seeing as I'm to young to get a hotel and all the other things I cant go by myself, it appears Celine doesn't plan to have another world tour in the next 6 years if then. 1 Quote http://extras.mnginteractive.com/live/media/site36/2009/0225/20090225_100519_00030541_H6124821_200.jpg
neener00200 Posted July 13, 2013 at 04:40 PM Posted July 13, 2013 at 04:40 PM My husband and I took our two kids when this show opened. They were 11 and 7 at the time. They did just fine, and REALLY enjoyed the show. We sat in the balcony, and chatted with people around us before the show started, but once Celine came out & started singing they were so mesmerized they didn't say another word until it was over. They still talk about when we went to see Celine. Have a wonderful time with your daughter! Quote
Angel2006 Posted July 21, 2013 at 09:40 PM Posted July 21, 2013 at 09:40 PM I think bringing you little girl to the concert will probably draw Celine's attention over to you even more. Celine loves kids and is drawn to them instantly. I think bringing her will only make your concert experience that much more special. It might grab Celine's attention and give you a chance to have a little connection with Celine mother to mother. I know you and your daughter will have so much fun and it will be something you can always look back at and remember forever. 1 Quote
ehild Posted August 20, 2013 at 06:30 PM Posted August 20, 2013 at 06:30 PM I'm sure at 7 she'll be perfectly ok. I'm going to try and take my daughter when she's older. She's 2 now and I wouldn't dare bring her this time lol. What night are you going? I'll be there with my husband on the 27th. Quote ~Liz"Please don't make your career your life. elsietang Posted August 23, 2013 at 07:11 AM Author Posted August 23, 2013 at 07:11 AM We will be there on the 24th!!! We are very excited and I have had trouble getting my daughter off to bed tonight!! She has been counting down the days since the beginning of the week!! lol!!! We are sitting in Mezz 1 so I don't think I will be able to get Celine's attention from that far up from the stage!!! I might take her to hang out outside near where Celine arrives but this depends on the heat and how she does during the day!!! So so excited, I haven't been able to eat or sleep all week!!! :) Quote

I hear a tropical storm off the coast of Mexico is sending tons of rain that way but also cooling things down so it won't be 115 or anything; which will be nice. We fly in tomorrow so hopefully there's no delays, etc. Quote ~Liz"Please don't make your career your life. Let it be your passion, let it bring you pleasure, but don't let it become your identity. elsietang Posted August 26, 2013 at 07:45 PM Author Posted August 26, 2013 at 07:45 PM ehild - The weather was not too bad there.. it was the humidity that hit us hard!!! It rained a little but not really heavy, more little a couple of raindrops!!! Remember to take water out with you and drink plenty of water. Not sure where you are staying, but we eventually found a Walgreens and they have more selection and cheaper water to sell. I am guessing you are there already!!! Have a fantastic time, Las Vegas is a really nice place and if you have a chance, take a walk in the Forum Shops and head on towards the Cheesecake Factory. Outside, there is a pretty neat aquarium there!!! Celine was on fire on Saturday night. She was really fun and looks like she was having a whale of a time out there!!! Her voice was breathtaking, out of this world!!! Words cannot describe how I felt when the curtains were drawn and there she was, standing there!!! WOW, just WOW!!! I think when I have come back down to earth, I will post a review here. I have nothing to compare it to as it was my first Las Vegas show, but I will try my best and do it soon!!! Have a great time at the show!!! 1 Quote
elsietang Posted August 26, 2013 at 08:12 PM Author Posted August 26, 2013 at 08:12 PM ehild - I managed to take my camera into the show but it ran out of batteries. I took some photos of the stage with my phone camera but it just did not do the stage justice. It didn't come out very nice. If you manage to take some photos of the stage before the show, can you be kind enough to share it with me? This has been the only thing that has been bugging me since I got back - not being to take any decent photos of the stage!!! Thank so much in advance and have a lovely time!!! Quote
ehild Posted August 28, 2013 at 04:06 PM Posted August 28, 2013 at 04:06 PM Yes I did get some pictures of the stage. Not during the performance but I'll see how I can get them to you.
