CelineDionForeverNY Posted July 7, 2013 at 07:24 PM Posted July 7, 2013 at 07:24 PM (edited) I've been waiting since February when I purchased my pre-release tickets from TC to see the show. I was sitting with my mother in Front Orchestra 3 - Row GG Seats 308 & 309, which are right by the aisle that Celine walks down during HDYKTMP. Behind me about two rows, there was a girl who had lost her leg, but she received an autographed photograph from Celine and I think she had a meet-and-greet with her. Celine was looking great. Her hair was looking a little different than other videos on YT, but she still looked stunning. The audience was also great that night. Before and after Open Arms, she received a standing ovation. There were some microphone hiccups during the beginning of the show lasting until about Paganini/Lullabye. Open Arms - She added her own twists on the song and it's changed a lot since the opening of the show two years ago. The curtain dropping behind her was beautiful and dramatic, and she looked beautiful with the white dress. WDMHBN - Great to see her sing this song again, panels with her performances throughout her career were refreshing. BYLM - Great performance. IACBTMN/TPOL - same as above. Jean-Seb solo - I was sitting right next to where Jean-Seb was performing, and as a person who loves playing the violin, I envied him, being able to perform with Celine and being able to share the stage with her. He was great and I got to actually see some of the bow hair that flew off from his performance. Paganini - Scats were amazing, but has she stopped doing the low note at the beginning of the song? She didn't do it that night so I'm just curious. Lullabye - Great performance. TR - Great to see her bring back this song, amazing performance. James Bond Medley - Live and Let Die was slightly different at the end where she added length and extra notes at "Say live and let die..." SW - I still think it's too bland, but the instrumentals were great. HDYKTMP - Best part of the night for me, Celine walks down the aisle as she sings and stops right next to me. She stares at me and I stare at her for several seconds and then my mom waves, and she smiles and continues walking down. She was so beautiful and was like shining when she was singing next to me. Overjoyed - Doesn't standout at me that much. At Seventeen - Same as above. But she did use Mego's joke (It's a pleasure in every measure) when talking with Andre, does she do that every night now? I don't remember that during the beginning of the show's run. BATB - Amazing performance. Barnev and Celine were exactly in sync and created a beautiful performance of the song. NMQP - Emotional and beautiful performance. Way better than the studio recording. ABM - She sticked to the standard ending and was phenomenal. Last note was outstanding and beats the TCWT version. RITD - Great performance, great energy. Michael Jackson Cello Triplet - Still feels out of place, but the audience loved it and applauded as they recognized the songs. LCMM/RDMH - Audience was crazy and was dancing and clapping along with her. MHWGO - Beautiful performance, water effects were beautiful. After the show, I just spent about an hour in the boutique (waiting for Celine to possibly come ), and bought a lot of merchandise. I purchased a bunch of photos, postcards, magnets, the American 2CD ONCP, and Canadian ONCP DVD. I purchased three mugs that aren't in the photo. nuts2you Posted July 9, 2013 at 12:21 AM Posted July 9, 2013 at 12:21 AM This review was from July 6 show, came from a TC member, Disappointed. Don't get me wrong. She has the most beautiful voice in the world. Still powerful, emotion filled, passionate. But the show did not have the energy you expect from a Celine Dion production. It was more of a dinner show, a lounge show. The orchestra played beautifully. The music was very good. But there was no dancing numbers until " Love Can Move Mountains" and "Rivers Deep". And very little even for those two numbers. Celine's signature is 'ENERGY'. I wonder if Celine was feeling under the weather. There was no energy.or acknowledgement. She didn't even acknowledge the second mezzanine, all of us waving frantically. We were hurt by that. I apologized to my wife. Here we traveled from central New York State for our 22nd wedding anniversary to see her. I had built the show up big. Even before the show, I told my wife to expect numerous standing ovations. The production just was NOT ' Celine style'. I still love her music. No person or group can even touch her as far as her voice. The bottom line is that this particular show was NOT Celine. I know all performers have an off night. Maybe that's all it was, an 'off' night. I still love you Celine. I'm still one of your most loyal fans. I just don't know. Quote
nuts2you Posted July 9, 2013 at 12:24 AM Posted July 9, 2013 at 12:24 AM Here is another one, review I went to Céline's show last night for the second time and it was so good, just like the first time!! But before the show my father and I went out to eat, and right before the desert I just looked around, like you do sometimes, I saw René. I can't even say what went through my mind... So I turned to my father and said to him "this can't be right"... I just couldn't believe what I saw!!! After some time of thinking if I should go over and say hello, I finally did it, and he was such a nice kin man! I even got a picture with him, that just made the day more amazing that it already was!! I ended up crying throughout almost the hole show... Last year I met Céline's brother Michel, this year her husband, so hopefully I'll meet her one day! That would be a very big dream come true!!! Quote

I don't know what they're talking about. I was at that show in FORCH 3. The audience had great energy! Dancing for RITD, LCMM, and RDMH. Standing ovations before and after Open Arms as well as after All By Myself, Ne Me Quitte Pas, and of course MHWGO. There may have been a few others as well. Celine seemed distracted but the monologues seemed more genuine than the show on the 5th. Both were amazing shows. 1 Quote

ImACelineDionFan Posted July 9, 2013 at 10:12 AM Posted July 9, 2013 at 10:12 AM 2nd Mezzanine, last row, right in the middle! Great seats! Quote
jackwilson Posted July 20, 2013 at 05:38 PM Posted July 20, 2013 at 05:38 PM Was there july 2nd & 3rd, and loved the show! There was some technical problems on the 3rd I'm guessing because there was no Steve wonder duet or how do you keep the music playing! She looks and sounds amazing. Will definitely go back when I can afford it! Quote
