Love when you catch her attention!!! @aafas: I think she meant he was a brave guy to go to all her shows , and to have went to the meet and greet, I guess she knows "CELINE DION" isn't alwys a man thing. That's what I think anyway. Yes I will crop Celine, haven't time yet though x

it was jaw dropping and I just couldn't believe it was happening, she was stunning, just wow!!!

Awesome story! That's very exciting that you were contacted so randomly for the M&G!

 

I wonder what kind of procedure they use to pick the fans these days? Do you think it's totally random, or do you think they actually read the letters and pick based on what people are saying?

 

Whatever it is, it's nice to see that she's meeting with fans more regularly now and not just celebrities!

Wow finally got to read this congrats so happy for you. I was lucky enough to meet Kelly Clarkson last year and I have to say thank god my mom was with me and started a convo with her because legit nothing was coming out of my mouth. Your so right when you said you totally know what your gonna say and then you get in there and words just fail you completely cause that's exactly what happened to me. That's so awesome!! I love reading these kinds of stories! It gives me hope that I may have a story one day too. I too am glad she is meeting with more than just celebs and high rollers.

I loved reading this! I can completely relate to how you felt, the adrenaline does take over and you just forget what you wanted to say! I'm glad your dream came true finally & it shows others that writing in DOES work sometimes with a bit of luck!

 

It's also really great that Celine was nice & friendly when you met her because that moment lasts a lifetime & you want her to live up to the expectations that you have / the way she is on TV etc. she certainly was not in a good mood when I met her backstage on tour! Lol. She said one word which was 'oh' and barely cracked a smile! We were being friendly and sweet to her and said we'd come from Australia/ England too but obviously something was up with her- she's human too we must remember haha. Anyway... It's just so wonderful she was so great to you! Dreams coming true = magical!!

It did turn me off her for a while as I was a bit annoyed, because at the end of the day it's her job and even if something is bothering you at in your private life, at work you still should try and do your best and I feel like she didn't in that instance. In her line of work part of that is not only being professional, which of course she is but also giving back to the people (fans) that put her there in the first place (besides her management etc). When you are meeting a fan, someone who clearly idolises you and has travelled so far to see you, you should at least say something back I think. lol.

 

It was annoying too because literally 5 minutes later she was on stage, high on life, smiling laughing 'HELLO MONTREAL!!!!', and we were like.... OKAY....why couldn't she do that for us and be polite and friendly...? Ok I'm done bagging Celine for today

 

It did make me think, omg is her bubbly personality just for show? Is it all an act? Is this mysterious untouchable amazing Celine Dion a *CENSORED* in reality? But I really think she just was having a bad day so I got over it.

So my boyfriend and I were like "what the hell", ive been to Vegas twice before and wished I could have met her but it just never happened? like how could you make it happen, my boyfriend flew into the shower, I rang my mum back home (even though it was the middle of the night at home) , but I was so excited and couldn't believe my dream of meeting Celine was coming through, I touched up my make up and put on the most done up dress I had bought with me (black) and orange high heel shoes. My hair luckily had been washed that morning so I had no time to do anything with it , it had been in a bun all day, but when I took it done it just fell nice, no fuzz, a stroke of more luck!!!! So we normally get the monorail to the strip from the MGM, but we wanted to get down fast so we got a taxi, But both kept saying to eachother "I cant believe we are going down to meet celine dion" id say the taxi driver thought we were nuts, I was like "what will I say" on my god, "how will I act" oh my god .....So we got to Caesers, went straight to the colleseum area, Had a small marguerite to settle my nerves, but was too nervous to drink most of it, 6:45 , went up to the colleseum entrance at the Celines back sign, Met the girl id been on the phone to, there was two other groups with us, we were all pretty nervous, We were brought in to the colleseum on the right side and were taking up an elevator, It took us back stage and into the green room, we were seated and all given water, I have to say everyone was super super nice, Very friendly and down to earth and made us all feel very comfortable and welcome, Elise was back there and said hello to us all, she was talking in French to one of the other groups about to meet celine, I think they knew her, Patrick was back there, He had read my letter and was telling the other people waiting to meet celine that I was Irelands biggest celine fan, he knew how many times id been to vegas and how many shows id seen and all details in my letter, he was so lovely, He said id been very lucky and explained that it is very hard to give fans the chance to meet celine as there are so many fans in the world who love celine and want to meet her, he said there wouldn't be a show if all the celine fans who wanted to meet celine met her. so he said I was a lucky girl. I honestly don't know why id been so lucky!!!! But im proof they do it sometimes. Its so weird. So another girl who was back stage said she would explain what was happening, she said shed email us all with our photos with celine, and she said ill explain to ye what will be happening here, she said celine was going to come in a door that she pointed at, it looked all silvery and was opened out into a silvery hall, the photo room, which ye are all aware of , is where this door leads to, we were sitting in the green room on brown armchairs beside the photo room, so celine would then meet us for a pic. I had read meets and greets are pretty fast so I was thinking to myself I hope I can say something to her, I was getting prepared, They said we were gunna be first, so I drank I good bit of water, my throat was so dry, the other groups mouths were dry too!! nerves I guess, they said celine is on her way, so we stood up and were taken to the photo room, I was bricking it!!!! Fixed my hair a little bit , the girl took my bag, and there I was waiting for my idol to enter...... So the time was here, the first thing I saw was celines two body guards, then I saw that girl from her "A new day "dvd you know the girl who carries her water and is just always with her, then there was Celine walking in facing me. She looked a Million dollars!!! That's the first thing that came to mind, then I put my hand over my mouth , shaking no doubt , and I turned to my boyfriend and said "oh my god its celine dion" She was so nice, big smile on her face and looked at us enthusiastically, They told her my name and said shes from Ireland, Celine shook hands with me, then she shook hands with my boyfriend. He introduced himself. She had a bwutiful black dress, tight with gold/brown stud things going down straight in the front, very classy, her hair was big, blonde and straightish!! So I then took her hand/arm again and I was kind of rubbing/stroking it!! Am...... don't ask me why, I never rehearsed this!!! So I said "oh my god Celine, I am such a huge fan of yours, I ve been a fan for 20 years, I love you so much, I have came to vegas 3 times to see your show and its my 9th show tonight!!! She then kinda flicked her hand, you know how she does it and said "oh get outa here" with the 9th show statement. She said thank you so much, she was really listening to me and was just attentful in what I had to say. She was really appreciative of me being a fan and loving her with her facial expressionso we kinda automatically went into stand in for the photo, she was in the middle of us, my arm was around her waist!!! I said to her "oh my god Celine im having heart failure right now" She laughed and said" its ok " really cute. I hugged her (oh my god, her blonde hair !!! and she hugged me back , I said thank you so much celine, I love you so much, thank you, she rubbed my back hugging me and was so cute and said " I hope you enjoy the show and it was so nice to meet you" She shook hands with my boyfriend and he said thanks so much, she said "you are so welcome" and then kinda shouted funnily"youre a very brave guy you should know" everybody laughed!!!! I thanked everyone , got my bag, was walking out and they all shouted "we love Ireland", I turned round and waved at celine and she gave me a cute little wave back" You guys, best day of my life. wow wow wow !!!!! Hope you guys enjoyed. If this happened to me, it can happen to you,I just wrote a letter to caesers address xx Good luck xx PS: The meet and Greets ARE the fastest things ever, its a blur.........Photo then, out, so you barely get to say or do anything......!!!! Im happy with how it went though and will cherish my photo forever. I have made the decision not to post up my picture. I had it up for a brief time yesterday. But im very wary of the internet and am always seeing meet and greet photos of Celine on every website and I don't want my picture out there like that. Im quite a private person too as a lot of ye are aware so I hope ye understand xx
