CaesarCeline Posted June 20, 2013 at 04:38 PM Posted June 20, 2013 at 04:38 PM Went to see the show last night. This was my second time; the first was opening weekend in 2011. Celine's hair was looking much blonder and straighter. I thought she looked well, a bit tired from where i was sitting though. There are far fewer close-ups of her face on the big screens now than there were two years ago, so it's hard to say if she really looks tired up close or not. Good bits:She messed up the words in Open Arms and BYLM - to me this is a good bit because I know for sure she is singing liveAmazing high note at the very end of ABMRollin in the Deep brings a lot of energy to the show and Celine sings the crap out of itMr Pagannini is quite sexy now with fabulous vocalsThe crowd went absolutely crazy for MHWGO which made me happyNe me quitte pas is super powerful and emotional Not so good bits:The speeches are so old-sounding and laboured. Celine is like an over-acting robot in them. People are forcing a sympathy laugh and zero personality comes acrossThe videos desperately need to be updated, especially the one at the beginning about the world tour. It's a bit like HOW is this relevant??The middle section of the show is actually BORING. I say this as a fan of 15 years who has been to see Celine 8 times in concert. The worst parts are Overjoyed, how do you keep the music playing, At 17, lullaby. People in the audience had their arms folded and were practically falling asleep. She has a massive job to get their energy back with Rollin in the Deep I paid $500 for our tickets back in April, we were in rear orchestra A. I believe that front row seats were going for cheap on the day of the show...I wish I had waited til the day to get our tickets Here's what needs to happen to make the show good again:BRING ON the new album for some fresh materialGet Celine off the stage and doing her Quebec and Paris shows to wake her up!!Revise the show and throw out all the crap parts in the middle 7 Quote J'ai besoin de tes yeux, c'est le miroir ou j'existe, sans eux je ne me vois pasRegarde-moi http://img.noiset.com/images/artist/celine-dion-disc-5017.jpeg

When I was there on the 5th, a couple of the members of the orchestra were just staring at the ceiling. I know it's a different show every night but she was on auto-pilot that night. nuts2you Posted June 21, 2013 at 12:32 AM Posted June 21, 2013 at 12:32 AM this is the reason why some of us fans are not going so often, Also reason why I'm not going for awhile. Quote
Kyle_Jared Posted June 22, 2013 at 09:03 PM Posted June 22, 2013 at 09:03 PM The show is incredible it really is, but why she uses the same damn speeches is beyond me. I personally do not think the show is slow in the middle, but elegant and classy. That being said I think she needs to add some more of her OWN songs. Surprised we are in year 3 and NOTHING has changed--not even a dress. Weird.... 2 Quote
shearer1931 Posted June 23, 2013 at 07:02 AM Posted June 23, 2013 at 07:02 AM Well, this is kind of sad that nothing has changed. I'm going back the week after next forvtwo shows for my third year in a row. I was hoping there would be changes. First year was the Michael Jackson tribute, then second year Adele. I know most of these songs are on the new English album, but I would really like to see some change up, do some of the non single album tracks... maybe throw Falling Into You in there. That being said I know once I get there and am 3 feet away from Celine from the second row by the stage that none of that will matter. I've been a fan for 24 years and have seen her going on my 16th (and 17th) show. I think I could watch her perform every night and not tire of her. There is no one like her and never will be again. 1 Quote
c4n4d4 Posted June 23, 2013 at 03:17 PM Posted June 23, 2013 at 03:17 PM (edited) Someone mentioned earlier that in the 3 years there hadn't been any changes to her wardrobe which isn't exactly true. She got rid of the jacket and pants that she wore during MJ tribute and just continued to wear the white dress she wears during NMQP for RITD and the dress for RDMH has changed from the gold one to a black-ish one back to the gold dress a few times And in the 3 years the show has been running they did change the set list a few times. They completely cut out Declaration of Love which was in the show when it first started. As the show has gone on she occasionally swaps out a song or too, she did it in December/January with Overjoyed and The Prayer and added the Christmas Song, in December she also swapped out TR and sung A Song For You. Then there's the obvious change from Man In The Mirror to RITD Edited June 23, 2013 at 03:20 PM by c4n4d4 1 Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas

Replacing man in the mirror with Rolling in the deep was it as far as changes. one song. Oh, the baby pictures during lullaby. The show needs a major revamp. New Dresses and New Songs. It's been three years. 3 Quote

It's been three years.Yes, I completely agree that it needs to be changed and refreshed if they want it to continue to be successfull. There has been minor changes though. Personally I think that once the new English album is out they need to add some of the songs from it (atleast the singles) and perform them in Vegas, it will attract more people and fans in general because it will be new music being performed from an album that probably won't get toured for atleast a year after its release (like with SA) 3 Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas
