That's cool they put the live version on a CD but still an odd selection for the three tracks. Why not have the live edition of LMBTL and a different song rather than 2 of LMBTL?

 

I would have liked to seen Incredible or Somebody Loves Somebody on this CD seeing that it's clearly promotion for LMBTL and that the Christmas set is due to be released in the next two months.

Its a free CD though, its not smart business wise to place songs that will probably be driving forces for people out of her fanbase to buy the album; it would be incredibly stupid (pun not intended) to include never before heard songs in the free CD, especially to include a song that they clearly expect big things from like "Incredible". LMBTL is the first single and already released, you can youtube the live version, and "Unfinished Song" is nothing special and bootlegs of it are already out. Yet its just enough where people who get the perfum hear the songs and think I wonder what the rest of her new album sounds like and will probably buy it. Its great marketing. It doesn't necessarily have to be another song from the album. It could be a Vegas song, another hit....something other than 2 of the same song. Especially since there's only 3.

I think the tracklist does make sense. They're focusing on LMBTL, which is her new single, so there are 2 versions there. Also, Unfinished Songs is the theme song from a previous movie, and the track hasn't released yet. Moreover, these 2 songs are both new original songs from Celine

And remember this is a free CD!

We live in a Céline world where CD singles are no longuer released commercially for her and when they are, they no longer include special versions/new or unreleased tracks on them. But then a new parfum of her collection arrives and of course a promotional single is inmediately made, including a live version of the new single + a new album track, Unfinished Songs, which was not even promoted when the movie was released, but its included in this CD before anywhere else, not even the official cd single (which has not been released yet)

 

Who understands these people?

Yeah, but Coty couldn't do anything without the licensing permissions of Sony... It's Sony Music behind all these marketing operations with her music, only that they don't do what they're supposed to do and using the distribution channels they have

I get that. I don't really know what a better option would be. I'd just like to see something other than two of the same song, even if it is a free cd. I don't expect a full length one but for only having 3 songs, I think 2 of LMBTL is a bit much/repetitive.

Strangely enough, I think Sony did a pretty good job with this CD. Regarding the tracklists of the official CD singles released throughout her career, I would have bet on MHWGO or BYLM as well lol. (Especially for a holiday free CD lol)
