New ticketing system

I didn't see this anywhere else...but did anyone else notice Celine's tickets are no longer being sold through ticketmaster? They're being sold through AEG Live's ticketing system AXS.

 

Axs uses a "fair ticketing" approach, too. It's kinda of weird. AXS also charges $6 to have your Céline tix waiting at the colosseum box office too...when before it was free. Also liked how you could choose your seat on the map on ticketmaster. AXS's fees can sometimes be slightly more than ticketmaster, too. Not a fan of this change!

 

An excerpt from an article about AXS:

AEG's solution is a program it's calling Fair AXS. Although it has not yet been implemented on AEG's 18-month old ticketing site, the pitch is simple: turn the on-sale into more of a lottery system.

 

Fair AXS will allow fans to sign up to purchase tickets up to a week in advance of the on-sale date. Customers can select up to three sections in which they would like to sit, and tickets will be purchased in advance via a lottery system. If tickets remain, there will be a general on-sale.

so i just (tried) to use the new ticketing system to purchase tix for this month...and i officially HATE IT!

 

i tried using our codes from celine.com and their system is awful. it wont let you see what seats in what sections are available for team celine members, and when i called over the phone and spoke to multiple people, they all said they couldnt help me as codes are only good online. are you kidding me?!

 

so i finally just bought tickets over the phone and even had problem with them dropping calls. BOOO AXS!

 

i may never have been a fan of ticketmaster's fees, but at least their system was much easier to use and i love seeing the detailed seating map. i wish there was a way to revert back!

 

only good thing after that waste of half an hour of my life is i got tix to the 18th and 19th.

I loved when Celine's tickets were sold through Ticketmaster, especially the seating map which allowed you to see the available seats for purchase. Curious as to why they changed over to AXS. After reading here on the Forum ticket sales haven't been the best lately, it would make sense to remove the seating map from view. As far as the fair ticketing approach AXS is promoting, why not sell ALL the tickets at one reasonable price. Of course their revenue would be reduced, however it would increase ticket sales and minimize overall monetary loss. Just my opinion.

Many may dislike Kid Rock, for me, I commend him for what he's doing with his recent tour ticket sales. He went into detail as to why he's selling his tickets at one flat rate (during recent interview with Howard Stern).

In no way am I comparing Kid Rock with Celine, only pointing out the dollars and sense behind concert/venue tickets. It's ridiculous how much it costs to go to a concert compared to 20 years ago and that breaks my heart for the ones who cannot afford to see their favorite artists perform due to ridiculous ticket prices.

Just my thoughts and opinions (((as I step off my soapbox))) lol

Seriously, there's no more seating map?! How do you know what seats you're choosing?!! There is a map on the Caesar's Palace website that at least shows you the from the particular section you're choosing: http://www.thecolosseum.com/thevenue/seatingchart
