reamary Posted May 2, 2013 at 07:46 PM Posted May 2, 2013 at 07:46 PM (edited) I thought that I could start a topic for the setlist discussion separately, cause as much as I like to discuss and speculate the future setlist of the minitour, I'm one of those who don't want to know the real official setlist before the concert. Cause I think it's part of the excitement when you don't know which songs she is going to sing and also you don't have to feel "disappointed" before the concert if you already know that one of your favourite songs won't be on the setlist, or whatever. So I thought that by having a separate topic for the setlist, people who want to continue discuss about the concerts til the very last night, can do so, but this way can also avoid seeing the setlist in the other topics. Hope I'm not alone with this thought. It's still a bit early for this topic I know, but perhaps all the future discussion about the setlist can already move in here! LuisMa Posted May 2, 2013 at 07:51 PM Posted May 2, 2013 at 07:51 PM Good idea! And I also don't want to know the setlist, but I can't help but wonder or wish for her to sing a few songs I adore. What I'm doing (and I know it's a bit freaky ) is to have a song of the day, so for the rest of the 204 days that are left for the concert I'm going to select a song and play that and only that Celine song. I know it's tough, but that way I won't get enough of her when time comes to leave for Belgium/Paris. Today's song of the day was "Faith" 1 Quote

And certainly a way to make sure that you won't get enough of her when time comes for the concerts! Can you play that song of the day as many times a day as you want? I was just thinking of making some sort of a "countdown calendar"! 1 Quote http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o419/reamary/1338b390-8604-432c-8a00-e8e1052a92ba.jpgHELSINKI 9.6.2008 - PARIS 26.11.2013 - PARIS 28.6.2016 - STOCKHOLM 17.6.2017 !
LuisMa Posted May 2, 2013 at 08:04 PM Posted May 2, 2013 at 08:04 PM Yes! I can play it as many times as I want, but only that song. And I won't be able to play it again in the days that will lead us to the concert. That way, I will miss listening to those songs, so when she sings them, whatever they are, I will be like . Hehe The countdown calendar is a great idea! Go for it! 1 Quote

Alex_Incognito Posted May 11, 2013 at 04:28 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 04:28 PM I just posted this in other thread!LOL This really excites me! I love that they mention it's not the Vegas show she's doing in Paris, but something totally differen! 1 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
LuisMa Posted May 11, 2013 at 04:34 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 04:34 PM Yes! I would love the shows to focus more on Sans Attendre, and to include at least one song from each of her 90s and 00s French albums. And "Incognito", of course! Quote

smw Posted May 11, 2013 at 05:15 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 05:15 PM What bothered me about the TC World Tour was that she actually performed TOO MANY songs from that album. I could understand performing a good handful of those songs if she toured for each album release -- but we all know that's not what happens. And then she did several other songs that were not from her own repertoire… Which I could understand because she loves them and the crowd already knew them. But I hope these concerts have more of Celine's own songs. I'm actually excited to think about the potential songs she will sing from her early days AND from Sans Attendre. So many fantastic possibilities. I hope many of the songs she sang for the French leg of the TCWT are left out -- and they focus on brand new or much older Celine songs. Lastly, they need to be recording EVERY concert she performs for DVD. With the potential of her career getting quieter in the future -- we need all we can get! 3 Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted May 11, 2013 at 06:32 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 06:32 PM A DVD release of this tour would keep fans happy until the inevitable release of the Vegas DVD at the end of its run...which we all know is several years down the road. 3 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
Alex_Incognito Posted May 11, 2013 at 08:13 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 08:13 PM In my heart I'm hoping she opens with "Ce n’était qu'un rêve" or "Les chemins de ma maison." Something sentimental to her past. 1 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
LuisMa Posted May 11, 2013 at 08:15 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 08:15 PM That would be sweet. I think she'll open with a tribute to her dad, "Parler À Mon Père," and I hope she closes with a tribute to her fans, "Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas." 1 Quote
Celine Fan 77 Posted May 11, 2013 at 08:21 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 08:21 PM I agree with you Luisma, she'll very probably open the show with Parler à mon Père and will also most likely sing Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas, but I don't think this song will close the concert, that will be probably done by Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore or My Heart Will Go On. Alex_Incognito Posted May 11, 2013 at 09:33 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 09:33 PM "Parler à mon Père" is not a good opener. It's dull for an opener, it doesn't give people a good feel of the show, Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
LuisMa Posted May 11, 2013 at 09:38 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 09:38 PM Yeah, I'd rather have her open with a more uptempo hit, but as this was the biggest hit from this era, I suspect this will start the show. Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted May 11, 2013 at 09:50 PM Posted May 11, 2013 at 09:50 PM "J'attendais" was her most perfect into, IMO. 1 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

Alex_Incognito Posted May 12, 2013 at 03:21 PM Posted May 12, 2013 at 03:21 PM Would it be awful to start the show off with "Le miracle"? It's upbeat and it might put people in a good mood. It could then be followed with a more rock-like song. I do hope there's an overture of music and NOTHING to do with Through The Eyes of the World.
