Timblerlake wants to find 'the next Celine Dion'

 

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has set the bench mark for this weekend's Eurovision Song Contest live final, claiming that he wants to find the "next Celine Dion".

Αs much as like the story of correlating her ESC win to her career in Europe, truth is I find them to be 2 different, seperate things.

 

To me her career here started with TPOL in 1993. This is when Europe really discovered Celine.

BATB put her on the map in US. TPOL is her first international hit. BTAB reached top 10 in UK but in the rest Europe it was Top 40. (#27 on European singles charts)

I dare say that not many in Finland had heard about Celine before TPOL,.. OOR was the song that I first heard from her her, never cared for TPOL that I heard next. My friends, 12 or 13 yrs old at the time... They didn't care for her at all It wasn't untill MHWGO when she became known and loved among the teenagers. And to tell you the truth... Most of them ignored her after MGWGO. It's been lonely in Finland, being a Celine fan

Do what the average Celine fan does: play her music out loud, pressure friends and family to listen to her songs and always remind everyone of how much she sold.

It's been exactly 30 years since Céline won Eurovision Song Contest. 30 years since I heard that magic voice for the first time.

I can't believe it's been 30 years!! And I can't believe that Céline's team didn't post anything about it yesterday

 

I made a post about this song, also based on an interview with Atilla Şereftuğ, the composer of the song (found by J-man). In this interview of 2013, he tells how the song came about and what Céline's part in all of it was. Did you know for instance that the song was written especially for her?? and how many takes it took Céline to record it?

Her team is just weird!!

 

Not sure who's fault it is though. Could it be that they only post when Céline tells them? if so, then Céline seriously needs to step up her game. And yeah I realize she's on sick leave now. But her social media and her team has sucked for a LONG time now.
