Thought I'd start a separate topic for Friday's show too.

 

This will be my first show of the tour. I'm looking forward to sitting near other people from the forum such as John and Davey!

Hi, I think I can imagine how do you feel. Not my first Celine concert but still so excited.

As you come from abroad, are you planning to see her once or more ?

Normally I'll be there and it'll be my first concert. I say normally because of my bad luck with Celine's concert :

1996 - Bercy : I had my tickets but i made a stupid mistakes and my parents grounded me

1999 - Stade de France : I had my tickets but two days before the show i went to the hospital for Appendectomy

2004 - Las vegas : Show cancelled

2008 - Bercy : Car accident

I really hope my fifth try will be the good one

Just the once. I'd love to see her more but its just not affordable for me, being a poor student. haha. So glad its Paris though. I LOVE Paris a great wee holiday for me. and my ticket arrived on Friday so it feels so real now!

Oh, no - -such bad luck! (I also missed a show I had tickets to because of an appendectomy, but it wasn't a Celine show!) And since 5 is Celine's lucky number -- hopefully this will be your lucky time!

1995: Marseille I was ill, stuck in my bed

1999: Céline cancelled the show of Marseille due to René's cancer. I could have changed the ticket for the Stade de France but as it was to close from the A level exam, my parents refused i went to Paris

2006: Vegas: the show was canceled due to Céline illness

2008: Paris. I had a front row for Bercy 25th of may. As i was pregnant i decided one month before not to go and it was A great décison because i gave birth on that 25th of May

 

Finally, i went to Nice in July 2008 and had the chance to meet her backstage. I have my tickets for Paris 2013. i hope it will work.

Soooo excited, leaving for Paris tomorrow morning for 3 days of fun including seeing Celine on Friday night. Excited much!

Totally agree. She was absolutely amazing.

I have seen Celine in the Falling into You tour, Let's Talk About Love tour, Taking Chances tour and twice in Vegas. This show was absolutely the best I have ever been to in ten years of Celine concerts.

 

The energy was soooo high, from Celine, her band and the audience. Bercy was completely full and everybody was a real fan, going crazy for Celine.

Her setlist was a good mixture of old & new, so plenty of favourites for people to sing along to.

The Voice. Oh my word the voice was perfection. She did lots of ad-libbing, even on the hum at the end of MHWGO. Her lower register is really full and rich and her upper notes are strong. No nasality that I could hear. It's like someone unlocked a problem to bring out her full voice. Whoever has that key, god bless you!

 

Here's proof of how amazing it was: my friend who has never seen Celine before, is not really a fan (just fancied a weekend in Paris), and doesn't speak any French, cried and cried. She was blown away & thought it was the best concert she had ever been to.

 

I will be really honest and say I was disappointed when I went to Vegas this year. I found the show lacking in energy and passion. But this show in Bercy has blown away all my doubts.
