Coz Antwerp = Belgium = 2 different languages (dutch and french). Plus Antwerp is located in the dutch speaking area.

I live in Belgium and it's only a small part of belgium thats french, and like someone said before, antwerp is a dutch speaking part.

Anyway, Do you guys think she'll sing english songs ??? Cause i dont understand french :$ I really want to go

At this point I estimate that it will be a 80% French show and 20% English show. I doubt that you can expect more English at this point. The "problem" is that the concerts are organised by a French company (Coullier) using a Luxemburg promotor (C-Live), except for the official "Sportpaleis" site, there isn't even a single Dutch leaflet available, it's all in French, not even in English. All sponsors in Belgium are from Wallonia (the French speaking part of Belgium), not a single Flemish (or even International) sponsor is associated with these concerts. There isn't even a single word of information in Dutch of English available on the C-Live site, only French. They don't care about Dutch or English speaking fans, they only care about the French ones... Nothing wrong with that since it's a French "minitour" however, for a country that exists for the majority by Flemish (Dutch speaking) people I did expect at least a leaflet in English or Dutch but apparently that was to much to do.

 

No doubt about it, it's a purely French show with the obligated few English songs... Expect the majority of the show been French spoken with probably a few English words from Céline but no more then that. Fortunately for me, I'm multilangual and cant fluently understand French but I understand that it could be a problem for a few.

Exactly, and more importantly - to hear loads of songs you wouldn't normally get to hear live at an Anglophone show!

This will be my first Celine concert , my French isn't great but I don't care. I love Celine , I love her French music and even from listening to her iv picked up on the language.

I couldn't be happier for my first concert to be in her native language ....but I hope we get like 30 per cent English just cos I'm dragging my friend with me who is nor familiar with her French career at all! Lol

I can't wait to get my tickets tomorrow! Nervous about it!

this concert is very tempting as I live quite close, but as I said before , I think it would really bug me not to know what she was saying. I don't understand French. Obviosly I adore Celine and I love ALL her music, one of my fave songs is Je sais pas + le blues du businessman, I don't know what these songs are about nor do I care, but in between songs she would be speaking French and I would not know what she d be saying, I d find that very hard ....Does any one else feel like that too?I am seeing her in Vegas this year in summer so id survive not seeing her in Paris , although it would be kinda cool....I dunno Edited April 24, 2013 at 06:06 PM by takeachance
