Bruno Mars performed this last Sunday on the French TV show "Viviement Dimanche". When asked what Frencophone singers does he listen to, he confesses he listens to Celine Dion. Then sings a bit of "My Heart Will Go On":

I think a duet between him and Celine would sound fantastic. He's the greatest male singer at the moment in pop music IMO.

I agree that he has the best male voice in pop music today. That being said, I don't like ANY of his songs. :sofunny: I wouldn't want him on a song with her just because it would seem so awkward to me personally and I wouldn't want it to seem as though she's hunting for hit, even though I'm sure she'd do it just out of technical or artistic appreciation.

 

Also, he's only like 5'6" and a clip like this drives home how short he is. :giggle:

I think that everyone is afraid to admit that Celine is their influence and inspiration. What's so bad in Celine?

Who would have thought Bruno Mars likes the divas! In seperate interviews he mentions Whitney, Mariah and Madonna as favorites too.

I saw the video this morning, and I almost fell of my chair when I saw him mentioning Céline and singing MHWGO. I'm having a musical crush with this guy, his latest album "Unorthodox Jukebox" hasn't left my CD player for the last two months since I discovered him, and wow, there's not a single song that I don't like of him! Not a single filler! :wub:

 

I believe Bruno is incredibly talented, he's the greatest pop male singer right now. Not in vain he's constantly being compared with Michael Jackson in many interviews and articles.

 

I'm love with this guy, but now that I know he also likes and respects Céline, wow, bring something together between these 2 artists! :w00t: :blush:

Of course I did! The moment I listened Unorthodox Box for like hmmmm 7 times in a row I looked for his previous album :P Doo-woops and hooligans is just amazing too. Of course I inmediately recognised many of its songs, they were played a lot in the radio in 2010 and 2011 (and they keep playing today haha)

Lucky you!! I was late with the news :cry: I only knew the past week that he was coming to Spain in november... but everything is sold out since weeks! :doh:

I've been waiting to hear what a good male version of this song would sound like for a long time. I also think Bruno is the best male singer out there (who is current and charting), and even though they were just messing around, I still thought it was really good!

Michel Drucker asked him : wich french singer did he know and the he responds Celine Dion to wich Michel Drucker respond, she speaks french yes...since she is not from France but from Canada. You are right , he didn't say that he loves her or that she is great .....

I'm actually completely not surprised. I mean...look at what he has to work with vocally. He can carry a tune, and can definately sing on key, he's amazing at belting high notes....He's the epitomy of the vocal trinity with a penis.
