divenchenzo Posted March 10, 2013 at 04:14 AM Posted March 10, 2013 at 04:14 AM Hi, I'm a new member on this forum. It’s been over 10 years now since I’ve first noticed a problem with the Radio Remix of the title “A New Day Has Come”. The official track that was released on CD had a high frequency noise (seemingly on the right channel) that prevented me from listening to the song because it would give me headaches. I know most people don’t have the auditory acuity to notice that, but I was hoping that the song would be remastered to get rid of the problem (as it is professional material). I recently bought the Collector's Edition of the album A New Day Has Come hoping that the song would be now fixed (the cover indicated a newly mastered version). Am I the only one with such sensible ears, or does anybody know about this problem? Quote
LeChauffeur100 Posted March 10, 2013 at 05:11 AM Posted March 10, 2013 at 05:11 AM I also hear it and I barely listen to the song because of that. Quote EVERYONE AFRAID TO BE FORGOTTEN - album & film by ionnalee; out NOW at ionnalee.comhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gF-8uJUpL5A
ashtonelijah Posted March 10, 2013 at 05:21 AM Posted March 10, 2013 at 05:21 AM I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but I opened up the song on my Macbook just now and listened to it. I put my ears to the left speaker, it sounded fine. When I put my ear up to the right speaker, I did hear a very high pitched buzzing sound--reminded me of the sound my grandmother's hearing aid makes sometimes. Is that what you're talking about? I'd never noticed it before, but yeah, pressing my ear up to the speaker, I do hear it. Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v27/warathogwarts/lovedmebackbanner.jpg
divenchenzo Posted March 10, 2013 at 05:45 AM Author Posted March 10, 2013 at 05:45 AM @ahtonelijah Yes this is it ! On the right channel, some sort of high pitched buzzing. If I listen to the song with my earphones, it drives me crazy. It is too bad!!! Because it is one my favorite songs and I can not enjoy listening to it. It annoys me so much that I wrote to Sony Music Canada. Quote

It's going to bug me too now. lol Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v27/warathogwarts/lovedmebackbanner.jpg

Javito Posted March 10, 2013 at 09:54 AM Posted March 10, 2013 at 09:54 AM Interesting. I have no idea what you're talking about, but its interesting to say the least And you mean that the problem was't fixed in the 2008 Collector's Edition of the album? Well that just proves what use they do of the so called "remastered edition" announcement Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

That was the anti-copy mesures that the CD included, introduced by Sony that year in some of their releases. I remember it caused a lot of trouble in the European release Quote "Hush, now... chocolatechip15 Posted March 10, 2013 at 02:51 PM Posted March 10, 2013 at 02:51 PM Interesting -- I hadn't noticed this problem with ANDHC, but I recently bought a CD of TCOML, and I can't listen to Only One Road, because the high-pitched sounds are *so* *high.* I also have this album on an old cassette tape from the 90s, and I never had a problem with it there. Javito Posted March 10, 2013 at 03:00 PM Posted March 10, 2013 at 03:00 PM I do notice the poor quality of the mastering in other album, Unison. If you turn up the volume quite high in songs like "I'm Loving Every Moment With You", you can notice how bad it sounds Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
