browseceline Posted March 3, 2013 at 03:14 PM Posted March 3, 2013 at 03:14 PM You all heard about a Australian millionaire rebuilding the Titanic, a project called the TItanic II.It will be an almost exact replica of the ship. but with more lifeboats onboard, wifi everywhere, more luxury etc.And it will take the original route in 2016, starting at Southhampton and heading to New York. Celine Dion is and will always be part of Titanic. It is still her biggest song and because of that song and that movie she became worldfamous and you could say it launched her carreer and still earns a lot of money with this song.So I would say, she should be part of this , either way , throwing the bottle to to open the ship, or maybe performing my heart will go on on the stern of the ship? Maybe i romantice it too much but oh how amazing would it be, Celine in some white dress singing my heart will go on on the stern of the ship (not lipped of course)What do you think? Should she be there and do you think she will be there? and would any of you guys be there when it departures or when it arrives in New York? By the way, here is the site of the new ship. As you can see it will be rebuild almost exactly, even the different decks will be there, 1th, 2nd and 3rd class decks, same furniture etcetera. It looks amazing don't you think? http://www.titanic-ii.com/ Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

wjd Posted March 4, 2013 at 10:15 AM Posted March 4, 2013 at 10:15 AM Prior to Titanic, she'd sold nearly 70m albums - Titanic didn't launch Celine's career. It merely made her an even bigger star. And no, why would she be at the launch of Titanic II? Just because she sang the song of the movie that was released 75 years after the original ship sank? 4 Quote Céline Dion, music's greatest ever singer, the biggest-selling Canadian artist of all-time and most successful female live act ever - what's not to love?
DionFanAlways Posted March 4, 2013 at 11:26 AM Posted March 4, 2013 at 11:26 AM I think it would be a little cheesy..... Why on earth would they rename a ship Titanic!!?????? Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

Javito Posted March 4, 2013 at 12:57 PM Posted March 4, 2013 at 12:57 PM I've heard they want Adele to sing My Heart Will Go On for the launch. But they won't let her in the ship like Céline did to sing in the bow for safety reasons. She will sing from the dock. 2 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Adele wouldn't be able to carry My Heart Will Go On - its too much for her range, and besides, its not Adele's call or the shipping company's. DionFanAlways Posted March 4, 2013 at 01:34 PM Posted March 4, 2013 at 01:34 PM That would be strange, Adele singing MHWGO! She's thinking, ok, Celine is doing RITD so here's my chance! 3 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
Daysleeper Posted March 4, 2013 at 01:53 PM Posted March 4, 2013 at 01:53 PM I don't understand the need for such project. So many misspent money for a just a caprice. Will they make it sink again too ? Or they just wanna make the new Titanic symbolically arrive to the destination which would make them happy happy happy LOLWhy not to make a tribute to all the people dying from a hunger? And I don't think Céline should be part of it. I think that could reinforce all that stereotype about her and Titanic. Obviously she can't get rid of it. 1 Quote

Nope, that's what "The Power of Love" did. As for the project I think it's stupid, because the name Titanic speaks and reminds of death, do you think it's appropriate to be excited with this? Javito Posted October 24, 2013 at 09:53 AM Posted October 24, 2013 at 09:53 AM Is this even happening? I mean, have they started the construction of the ship yet? Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
garçon Posted October 24, 2013 at 09:56 AM Posted October 24, 2013 at 09:56 AM (edited) This shop could never be an exact replica of the Titanic; when it comes to scale (today people are taller), safety procedures (not only the equipment of sufficient lifeboats), adding a '3rd class' for travelers (which took quite some space). There will never be a MHWGO too (besides, what was the last big soundtrack ballad we had actually??). Edited October 24, 2013 at 09:57 AM by garçon Quote

Taking Chances Posted October 24, 2013 at 01:11 PM Posted October 24, 2013 at 01:11 PM For the record I would really love to be on the maiden voyage of that ship. But it's just Karma waiting to happen. So if this ship sinks, no one will be surprised. Celine should have nothing to do with this, no appearances, nothing. She's way to classy to do this. Quote

The person responsible for this is some very wealthy guy, from Austria or New Zealand I think? He's a billionaire and I guess has nothing better to do with his money so he's funding all of this to pay tribute to original ship. 1 Quote ~Liz"Please don't make your career your life.
