sander21 Posted July 24, 2005 at 05:51 PM Posted July 24, 2005 at 05:51 PM Of course she didn't tied celine's record............................... Quote
sorta kinda lika Posted July 25, 2005 at 01:12 AM Posted July 25, 2005 at 01:12 AM Well Kelly may very well be back at number one again with Breakaway. Doobie Gray did it with Drift away and Kelly may very well do it as well. I'm surprised at how defensive some people are calling Kelly a one-hit wonder, and a pig, and saying she's nothing outside the USA, none of which is true. You guys need to know that records are made to be broken. Celine will not keep her AC chart record forever. Might as well face it now. Quote
sge Posted July 28, 2005 at 05:44 AM Posted July 28, 2005 at 05:44 AM Kelly is a rising star just like Celine in 80's, but far from Celine. ANDHC is 21 weeks No.1 without break. Quote http://nkbbs.org/upload/qmd/C/catbyreally.jpg
cwnice Posted July 28, 2005 at 04:12 PM Posted July 28, 2005 at 04:12 PM I found it in billboard news:"after a one-week break, Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" retakes the lead on the Adult Contemporary airplay chart, marking its 21st non-consecutive week on top. The 2-1 rebound, swapping places with Michael Buble's "Home," puts the song in a tie with Celine Dion's "A New Day Has Come" as the longest-running AC chart-topper by a female artist and second all time behind Uncle Kracker's "Drift Away" featuring Dobie Gray (28 weeks)." It is so sad. I guessed breakaway will never return to no.1! source:http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_...t_id=1000999534 Quote If there was Diva Live, I would suggest Celine Dion + Shania Twain + Faith Hill + Barbra Streisand + Delta Goodrem
Ronny83 Posted July 28, 2005 at 04:16 PM Posted July 28, 2005 at 04:16 PM BTW, Céline got 21 consecutive weeks at #1, Kelly not. So, she didn't beat Céline's record. Quote The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com
sorta kinda lika Posted July 28, 2005 at 11:43 PM Posted July 28, 2005 at 11:43 PM Didn't I tell you Kelly could regain the #1 position? And when it comes down to records, whether a song had a consecutive or non-consecutive stay at the top doesn't matter one bit. It's the amount of weeks that matters. That's why Uncle Cracker has the all time record with 28 weeks at #1 with Drift Away. One more week for Kelly and Celine will have the tird longest stay at #1 on the AC chart. Quote
