brujocrow Posted January 24, 2013 at 04:05 AM Posted January 24, 2013 at 04:05 AM There are companies I refuse to spend a penny on based on their marketing approach. commercials are necessary, I get it. However: some go too far. My top five: 1. geico 2. geico 3. geico 4. express flooring (probably local) 5. any commercial pouring liquids into cups (sounds like piss) especially with gulping and ahhhs. So true what you say about the Geico commercial. The same ole gecco (however u spell that) and the commercials with the men and the guitars. However the pig ones are funny. brujocrow Posted January 24, 2013 at 08:42 PM Author Posted January 24, 2013 at 08:42 PM (edited) there are some very bright minds out there. Is it time for a new approach to marketing? as in inviting you to sample their wares as oppsed to chasing you around your own house with bells, whistles and screaming. Trader Joes attempts this approach on radio and thanks you for listening. Celines soft sultry voice wins over any cacophony. what would your approach be? P.S. thanks for participating Edited January 24, 2013 at 08:44 PM by brujocrow Quote Better the pride that resides in a citizen of the world, than the pride that divides when a colorful rag is unfurled. CelineRox Posted January 24, 2013 at 09:28 PM Posted January 24, 2013 at 09:28 PM ONE of my biggest hates is adverts. I HATE them. All of them. I actually don't even watch much tv anymore cos adverts annoy me so much.If I really want to see something, I will be sure to record it so that I can forward through all the crap. celine-rc Posted January 25, 2013 at 12:18 AM Posted January 25, 2013 at 12:18 AM I enjoy quite a few commercials (like the intelligent ones) but the ones that I don't like, I really can't stand them ! The first ones being infomercials !!! AARRRKK ! They get worse when they're translated in french, so there are like two voices talking at once... Other than stupid infomercials, just stupid commercials really annoy me. zuv Posted January 26, 2013 at 06:58 PM Posted January 26, 2013 at 06:58 PM (edited) TELUS!! with their f****ing animals! I feel like they take us for a bunch of juvenile dummies who will buy their crap just cause we think that their animals are cute. And take that from an animal lover! (its a Canadian commercial) But the BEST or most memorable commercial is definitely this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LibTPRrskV4 I thought it was brilliant!
