LuisMa Posted January 23, 2013 at 11:02 AM Posted January 23, 2013 at 11:02 AM (edited) Thank you Tommy! The Power Of Love did not suit our wedding because of the "Cause I'm your lady and you are my man lyrics." Instead, we played "The Greatest Reward", "The Prayer" and an instrumental "S'il Suffisait D'Aimer" among others. Edited January 23, 2013 at 11:03 AM by LuisMa 3 Quote

TommKat22 Posted January 24, 2013 at 05:44 AM Author Posted January 24, 2013 at 05:44 AM Thanks for sharing! I expected that "her heart will go on" again, but then I was awakened at the idea that Jack passed away and that's not a good for weddings. Since My Heart Will Go On is my favorite song ever, I did kind of want it as my wedding song! "Near, far, wherever you are, I believe that the heart does go on," could say that no matter where my husband was, I would always still love him. And "we'll stay forever this way, you are safe in my heart and my heart will go on and on," could say that we will be forever promised to each other, and always hold a piece of each other in our hearts! Sounds a little cheesy I know, but do you think it could work as a wedding song?? lol Quote Tommy
TommKat22 Posted January 24, 2013 at 05:48 AM Author Posted January 24, 2013 at 05:48 AM at the same time Celine is in top 10 funeral songs Haha yes she is! With My Heart Will Go On! I want it played at my funeral as well! Everyone associates that song with me because I love it so much! Haha It's been played more than 2000 times on my iTunes! I still haven't figured out if I want the soundtrack version or the album version played! The soundtrack version has a more raw intense feeling, while the album version has the power, and the epic drums and guitar! What do you guys think would be the most emotionally appropriate version for a funeral? Sorry to sound morbid, I promise I'm not dark and gothic! haha Quote Tommy
ashtonelijah Posted January 24, 2013 at 09:09 AM Posted January 24, 2013 at 09:09 AM If I were to have The Power of Love at my gay wedding, it'd be "Because I'm your angel / And you are my man" (Or just use "I'm Your Angel" instead...heheh) 2 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v27/warathogwarts/lovedmebackbanner.jpg

Timster Posted January 24, 2013 at 09:34 AM Posted January 24, 2013 at 09:34 AM I'm shocked that Shania Twain's "From This Moment On" isn't in the top 10, the lyrics are perfect for a wedding. Great to see Celine at #1 though 1 Quote

Boy Posted January 24, 2013 at 11:13 PM Posted January 24, 2013 at 11:13 PM Thank you Tommy! The Power Of Love did not suit our wedding because of the "Cause I'm your lady and you are my man lyrics." Celine should re-record the song and make it... Ahm... Gayer?.. Cuz this trouble with the lyrics is the reason why lots of gay lovers can't make it their wedding song probably Mon homme isn't fond of Dion at all, if we decide to get married he would love this to be a "Celine Dion-free" wedding but that's not gonna happen At my wedding I plan to have some drinks and sing "my luuuuuurv, we have seen it all..." on the table My dear man is not aware of my plans though but who cares - let this be a surprise :w00t: 2 Quote Love comes to those who believe it...

CelinesDIVO5 Posted January 25, 2013 at 09:27 AM Posted January 25, 2013 at 09:27 AM You could totally have a drag queen sing the song at your wedding...that would take the focus off the lyrics!!
