Hi guys, I don't think anybody opened this topic yet.

 

Just for all of us to express their opinion on this song (in my case, to say how much I love it and hope and pray for it to be the next single!)

 

I don't think any french song by Celine touched me so deeply since the SISDA era, except for this one and "Une Chance Qu'On S'a" (yeah, this album is so strong!!!). It's like if the old Celine was back, even though the voice is different, there's something about the way she sings, about the theme, and her emotions that makes her sound like she's a lot more than a singing machine.

 

Let's hope for more performances like this one!!

 

 

 

PS: Who else agrees it's the 2012 PQTME?

Hey! I was about to open a thread for this song yesterday too, with an english translation. I was surprised nobody created a specific topic for this song yet, just like the others in the album!

 

This song is brilliant, it means a lot to me. Like happens with the song, it never stops growing in me, its getting bigger and bigger all the time

 

Anyway here is a translation, my french is not very good and sure there are mistakes, but the non-french speaking fans can get an idea why this song is that GREAT! Hope you like it.

That's my favourite part too, along with the "its time to disobey now" line It's like she's saying "hey, its time to be rebel before life, sometimes we need to step out of the established way and make some crazy things!"

 

And also the lyrics when she says that all her life she's been waiting to receive, and then she realizes it was only love what she needed to get back :wub:

Ignoring the lipsung video above, this is my favorite and only barable song on the album!

 

I think it is perfect, vocally, musically, arrangments wise but mostly - lyrically.

it is the only song that has a beautiful meaning and is also written in a way that does it justice, so poetically.

That's a good idea! We've never done that, and Sony's people will feel there's a big hunger from young fans to get new stuff from Celine!

In a music world where in many cases art is overridden by business, let's hope this piece of art reaches the masses and they feel it's not only commercially viable, but a treat for radio audiences.

Oh people! This song NEEDS a video! but not a crappy one, a really meaningful video, maybe even personal.

 

Like what they did with "On Ne Change Pas". It could be a nice playback by a beautiful and meaningful Celine, and then images of her love life, her dreams, her children. That would be one direction,

 

And another idea would be 2 good actors, a nice love story, since they're young and they meet each other, until they have children and grow old. And of course Celine singing on the beach, something like that.

Okay, I literally am working my #ss off to fall in love with the song. Even though I understand French fairly well, I wish I could really appreciate the style of writing in the sense that you just need to be French to really "get it". I don't hate the song by all means, I'm just not getting what everyone is feeling I guess. I do like the build up towards the end, but the beginning sounds so generic and then with falsettos at the build up, I just thought more could come out of it. But maybe I'll get a rise after listen number 75 lol.

you appreciate a song or not, maybe you like some others that nobody likes....My favorite of Taking chances was Skies of L. A. followed by Right next to next one, not popular choices by all means. The important here is to like something on the album...

Yeah it should be sent to the radios and TV just for background music. And to stick it into ppl's heads. It took me a while to get into this song, and now it's my favourite!

and the great part of releasing attendre is that you dont have to spend time on music video.

it can totally be done by putting all fragraments of her entire carrer together. i cant recall celine doing any vid like that, but many artists do.

I am so loving your comment!!! It is true and the same I have been thinking since heard the song...she did it again! I call this song "PQTME of the 21st century"! This is #5 song in the album so I am almost thinking this is not a coincidence as Celine's fav # is 5! It gradually becomes so powerful and full of emotions ..oh my Dion...
