Javito Posted December 7, 2012 at 09:03 AM Posted December 7, 2012 at 09:03 AM Did Francois Lalonde take over now? I think we can say so. He seems to have replaced Humberto Gatica's role (it's not that I don't like him, I love this guy, but I also enjoyed seeing both of them in the studio) 1 Quote "Hush, now... LuisMa Posted December 7, 2012 at 12:32 PM Posted December 7, 2012 at 12:32 PM (edited) The article is up now on the Mix Magazine page. http://mixonline.com...ing_perfection/ It seems Humberto Gatica does have some involvement in the album, as it says that "The English record was mixed by Humberto Gatica, Serban Ghenea, Mick Guzauski and Manny Marroquin". Celine_2533 Posted December 7, 2012 at 02:23 PM Posted December 7, 2012 at 02:23 PM I've never thought that Celine will be appear on this kind of magazine. LOL Then, please release her new English album in VINYL format, to show how great it's recorded, mixed and mastered. 1 Quote http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/title156/Sig2013.jpg
zuv Posted December 7, 2012 at 04:56 PM Posted December 7, 2012 at 04:56 PM lol i didnt understand 95% of that artical, but he seems pretty passionate about Celine's voice. Hope there are tons of high notes this time. Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted December 7, 2012 at 07:50 PM Posted December 7, 2012 at 07:50 PM (edited) They make a cute couple! LOL I can't wait to read this. The technical side of Celine's career is FASCINATING. Too bad it's never talked about! What a nice change! "and at just 44, she should have many more years of hits ahead of her." ------DAMN STRAIGHT! "Her shows routinely sell out in the U.S., South America, Europe, Asia and Australia", - Didn't realize Mexico was in South America! For some reason though I enjoyed this article. I love his statement about 75% of it being Celine and he just tries to stay out of the way. How great would it be to be in the studio while she was recording? Edited December 7, 2012 at 08:51 PM by DionFanAlways Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
dj4celine Posted December 7, 2012 at 09:11 PM Posted December 7, 2012 at 09:11 PM Francois Lalonde just makes me... Umm.. Let's keep it for some other time Absolutely loved the article. I didn't know Francois got in Celine's team just cos of his mastery over Pro Tools. The way he describes about the myriad of devices that suit Celine's voice is so intriguing. He really knows what he is doing. No wonder it seems that he's somewhat taken over from Humberto (who I absolutely adored as well). The work Lalonde did on Sans Attendre is quite evident with the layering of the vocals, which is hued in so many ways that it kind of reminds me of the multiple layers used in Mariah's albums and songs. Use a really good set of headphones/speakers and play it from the cd or a lossless audio format and you'll know what I mean. The article also mentions how Celine is so equipped and knows what she wants with the sound, which is absolutely important and this should be voiced out more to the public as it's a very important aspect of working in a studio cos people think that she's just there to 'sing' and has no say whatsoever during the recording process, which is false. Thanks for the links to the article! 2 Quote

Davey84 Posted December 7, 2012 at 10:42 PM Posted December 7, 2012 at 10:42 PM Celine is so dynamic that you need to be on top of every piece of gear in the chain to make sure that nothing is overloading when she is singing a loud note. I know!!! Didnt she say something like that with the LTAL or SISDA sessions? That the technique wasn't developed enough to capture her voice? with one note in SISDA, I always think the technique went overload Very interesting article! Céline does way more in the studio than we know or hear! I hope they got the release month right for WAAF 1 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

chocolatechip15 Posted December 8, 2012 at 03:51 AM Posted December 8, 2012 at 03:51 AM This is a great article - great glimpse into the recording process! (though I, too, didn't understand lots of the words!). They mention Humberto as not only being on the technical side of things, but also as a producer on her new English album -- interesting. He has produced a couple of her songs in the past, but only a few. They also list Denis Savage as one of her producers -- he's been doing sound for her shows for 25 years, but I wonder if he's ever produced for her before. Interesting! Quote
