(Maxime Le Forestier / Stanislas)Fan translation. __________________________ Maxime Le Forestier: I really did a tailor-made job, I worked like a tailor. Writing a song for a great pop singer has been a fantasy of mine for a very long time. I always wanted to do it. And everytime I've tried, it went down the drain. With her, it's hard to find a better singer, and a more popular too, so it's like my greatest fantasy. I asked myself how I actually saw her. The first time I saw her on TV, she was like 16, and in Quebec the journalists and people who were hosting the talk shows, were really taking advantage of her sensibility. She would burst in tears in every single interview. That's why many years later, I did still see her as a fountain. [ Extract from Lise Payette interview: ("Will you swear to tell the truth?" -"Show-business is tough!") ] That's where the idea of "Moi quand je pleure" (Me, when I cry) came from, though exaggerating it a bit, because she's now at a time in her life when she can look at herself in the mirror and proudly smile, seeing what she's become. Stanislas: Right from the start, Maxime proposed it like a slogan, "Moi quand je pleure", it appeared so clearly to him. It highlights her fragility and puts the listener in a state of mind away from the glitter and the spotlight. And then it was an exchange between author and composer. As Maxime and I get along, we both tried to blend together into a common project, and that's not easy, but it was a pleasure to do it with Maxime. Maxime Le Forestier: Her life and career are intimately connected. I think people want her to talk about herself. So, if she sings some kind of story like "Once upon a time..." people won't be interested. They need to hear something about her, and she's doing a great job of it. With a genuine honesty. She does what she loves, she loves what she does. No cynicism, no calculation. She's completely coherent, and maybe that's why people like it. [song] Stanislas: I write for a voice, I write for a beautiful soprano with quite unlimited vocal capacities, and above all I try to have fun. I knew she could sing from low to high notes, so I took the bet. I wrote a song that could move me, but also that could show the whole range of her voice. It's like I wrote for a soloist! 1 Quote BRICEhttp://s17.postimg.org/7igcotu27/DFGHLK.jpg

Usually she doesn't cry because she's sad, but because she's emotional or moved, or even happy! Quote BRICEhttp://s17.postimg.org/7igcotu27/DFGHLK.jpg
celine-rc Posted October 31, 2012 at 11:09 PM Posted October 31, 2012 at 11:09 PM I love the simplicity of this song. Is it just me or I find it quite theatrical ? I really really love it ! I think it was just because I saw a clip of her crying. I really like this song! I like the ending of it! Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
Modesta Posted November 4, 2012 at 11:56 AM Posted November 4, 2012 at 11:56 AM (edited) When I first heard the 30 sec clip, I thought this song was a bit too "french" for my liking. After listening the entire song, this song turned out to be my favorite after the Hesme/Gateno songs. I'm a weeper. I've had really bad lows in my life and I've cried my eyes out for god knows how many times. Nowadays my sorrows aren't so earth shattering, and then there are even times when I just cry for the fun of it, you know, when you feel sad, but can't really put your finger on why. Then I just curl up and let it all out. And yes, being a woman tears can work like a charm on my man when we argue "Dis moi je t'aime, ou je repleure". Love that bit Edited November 4, 2012 at 11:57 AM by Modesta Quote

Love that bit Just a suggestion... don't use that strategy too often because your man might get tired of it... And when you will cry for real, he won't believe you... carfeful... This song grows on me. Wasn't sure at the beginning... but now I love it! Quote

Your_Su_Phu Posted November 6, 2012 at 02:05 AM Posted November 6, 2012 at 02:05 AM This is one of the most interesting songs she's ever done. I have read in her bio that in the beginning of her career she used to cry all the time in public..it's interesting to see that tied into an actual song And I can relate to the lyrics lol Quote

sfbaysinger Posted November 17, 2012 at 02:23 AM Posted November 17, 2012 at 02:23 AM OMG thanks for the translation & that bit from those amazing songwriters. That's also me when I cry. They captured it So perfectly...and that's all true about her, she does have "unlimited vocal" capability, can go from low to high, she is still indeed so popular. She's amazing...thanks also for the translation. It's people like you who do it that make this album begin to make sense...& I also agree, I love when she talks about herself...she should keep it up!!! Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine!
