Somehow the song on the album doesnt do much for me, but this AMAZING!!!! Just have tears in my eyes!
WOW what an amazing version! Just Celine and piano.

And live!!! Somehow I think a little bird told them what we think, and I just hope they will hold on this, because it works great!
She can sing her new songs live, in different ways, :-)

What's so surprising that this performance is live? It's nothing new. Most of her performances on Quebec TV shows have always been live.

i like to think she was looking for René's approval so she could say she's working on writing her own songs for her next album. And that René said "no, its not the time"

I LOOOVED this interview!!! Finally some different questions and not only family talking.

I'm amazed how they played her songs, look at her face when ANDHC starts playing, that's a smile of joy, great memories! They have to do this more often!

I disagree with negative comments. You can clearly notice that Celine appreciated that they played ANDHC and IA, I think she misses them :whistling: :whistling: And the audience responded actively to ANDHC too! Let the joy return! :kicking:

And JNPBD was magical... and live! I hope she promotes this album singing the songs live. It's the perfect example how they should do this. Singing live and not only the single.

First of all, what an AMAZING performance... now THIS is the Celine we all fell in love with years ago! :in_love:

I hope at least someone from her team sees some of these comments and passes them along. LIVE MUSIC... this is what we need!!! Absolutely breathtaking.

Second of all, it made me so happy to see her face just light up when they staredt playing ANDHC. She's so adorable, and seeing her really appreciate her music really makes me happy as a fan. I know that a lot of people are concentrated on her career, but I always take a step back and really think about Celine as a human being and whether or not she's happy. The last few years I just feel like she hasn't been happy doing what she's doing. We all know she wants to be a stay-at-home mom, and who can blame her! I just hope she finds out exactly what it is she wants to do in life now, whether it be continuing performing, performing a few times a year, or quitting show biz altogether. She needs to do it.

Our girl has worked her A$$ off for her entire life, I really just want her to be happy! No one in the world deserves it more than she does.

OK... done with my little rant. The point was that it was great to see her look so happy when ANDHC came on, I"m sure she was remembering when RC was a baby and all the great memories from that era in her life ^_^

On a side note, was it ever discussed who JNPBD was aimed at? I definitely feel like she's talking to the fans. Telling herself all these years that she doesn't need our love or approval, but realizing that she does need us to love, care, and respect her for all she's done in her 30+ year career.

Bottom Line: The Sans Attendre era could be the best one yet! :whee: :whee: :whee:

I really really liked this interview ! She was honest ! I find that we learned quite a bit. Guy A. really does a good job.

This make me proud to be her fan. I've never met any artists are honest and sincere than her. She's spoken her heart, she let the camera rolling around her house, hotel room, backstage, dressing room, private jet, etc. (This should be also thanks to Julie Snyder and Production J too, they made an extraordinary production these years!!) :wub:

It should be good if she play Twitter, maybe she would like to show more about her life to her fans.

Exactly! Her face totally lights up when ANDHC started playing :wub: What are they waiting for to record another album like that? It's clear she had so much joy recording and promoting that album, because of RC, now she's in that same moment with Nelson & Eddy, she could deliver another album like that again instead of the "Vegas album" :glare: ^_^

just in case it might happen to me, I ‘ll stay away from this. I have seen so many people waste away, but you have to be in charge, and not just say – I have a lot of people surrounding me, they are gonna protect me - The entourage is important but you have to keep control of yourself.

Since March 2011 you have been back in Las Vegas with a more personal show, I call it a intimate show but with 31 musicians. Celine I was lucky to attend your last 3 shows, the first one in Las Vegas, I thought it is Celine meeting the Cirque du Soleil. During the worldtour I thought It is Celine meeting U2 or Madonna and now it is Celine… Am I wrong?

It is indeed a more intimate show, It is like back then when Frank Sinatra would make shows with a big orchestra like this one, so for me it comes closer to something intimate, yet majestic.

I feel good, I feel beautiful, I feel carried away. And when people come to the theatre, they make an effort to dress nicely and I can feel they are in love, and they feel beautiful as well and it is nice to see.

I think Las Vegas’s economy was going down a little and they called you the rescue to make it better. Could you do that to Montreal too?

(laughs) Yes! Right! – a rendency in Montreal!

I think it is actually coincidental that the economy went down when I left, and seemed to go up again when I came back, but we can make a try one day, I will settle in Montreal to make shows and if Montreal’s economy goes down when I leave and up when I am back, then we can say if it’s true!

I don’t want to jump off of Titanic, but I guess Kate Winslet is glad she did not have to sing it,

But I think it is like marriage; before a show I may think, after so many years singing the same songs, Indeed sometimes I don’t feel like singing them, because I have done it for a long time and I am stuck with them till I die. It’s the same in a marriage, there are ups and downs and it is not easy all the time, but we always get through it when we say, I don’t want a divorce. I love my husband, and we make our best to settle things, So about Titanic, sometimes I don’t want to do it, but once I am on stage and I feel that people are longing to hear it, I forget that I have been singing it for the ttth time.

Celine you wrote two songs for your son in law, Marc Dupre, Tout Les Pres du Bonheur and Entre Deux mondes. I quote Marc Dupre, a little drunk, during a poker game; Celine is supergreat in composing songs! I don’t know why she won’t do it herself! I think that there are people better then myself, who can write songs for me.

When I have a melody and pieces of text here and there, I keep the melody in mind , but everytime I wrote something, I could not hear myself singing it! So I have to think about someone else to sing them, and Marc has been my guinea pig! So I gave him my songs!

So basically you write and when you don’t like it you give it to Marc Dupre..

No no! It’s not like that! I really want the songs to be brought to life..

He sings well , moreover..I think he really does them justice.

I love family , I love people, I love Children for sure. So being a grandma and having children around I don’t see them a lot, I miss them a lot. It’s unfortunate when we are busy.. I don’t know why he thinks I am a grandma, but I am overgenerous for sure, I am very permissive.

Is it hard to keep your children down to – earth – when you have this kind of life? Rene Charles for instance…

True but the life I had when I was a child and the life I live now are not the same! And I think that it’s not what you buy for your children, or what you make them wear, that makes them

who they are, it’s the way you raise them. Some people do nothing and don’t share anyway, and there are people who have everything and that are generous.

You come from a big family with no money, and now you are one of the richest women on earth.. what is your attitude towards money? Has it changed?

We had nothing, it was hard, but what’s great is the way our parents raised us, is that we never felt like we missed anything.

And neither do your children!

We don;’t talk about that, but I think that when we have money, we have to get the best out of it, we’re lucky. The way I see it is that I can have care of my mother when she is sick, when my family needs me, if anyone needs healthcare, they can have it. I can provide transportation, I can do do something for them. I was able to buy a house for my parents, and I can help members of my family when they are in distress. And I think that money is worth it in these moments. That’s when it becomes important.

Celine on August 22nd 2008 , the city of Quebec offered a present for it’s 400th anniversary, a Celine on the plains of Abraham, surrounded by several guests.

You made 200.000 people happy. A memorable show with a great finale. You sang with Ginette Reno for the first time ( Un per plus haut) And I want to point out that it’s Celine who sings the high note.

That is not important, Ginette was carrying me, Ginette was the greatest inspiration in my youth, and when we are preparing that show, Rene and I said, It would be amazing to be able to sing with Ginette or Jean-Pierre Ferland, can you picture it? I could already see the staging.. I said – Ginette won’t enter on the left or right side, she has to appear up there in the middle of the sea, and then sea parts, and she goes down the stairs..

I can't thank browseceline enough for typing it, but I can't help noticing a few mistakes

. For instance, Celine says "we don't have to GET DRUNK to enjoy it", and not simply "get a drink". She even uses strong language for "get drunk", don't know the equivalent in English. And of course the title of the song is "Tous près du bonheur" (Quite close to happiness) and not "Tout les près du bonheur" (All the fields of happiness)... This actually made me laugh out loud :lmao:

. And towards the end it's "what's great IN the way our parents raised us is... There are a few more but, oh well... Thank you so much!

The surprising thing here is that she performed an acoustic version of the song, just her voice and the piano. She is really surprising us recently!
