When I was cleaning up I came across a double copy of the Japanese TLYM 3" single. I compaired it to the one I had, just in case.

And what did I see? There was a difference on the back!

 

Can you spot it?

Now my theory is, that the one with the extra special thanks is the second edition, made after the song became a huge hit due to the television series.

 

John noticed on the back of his two cds a difference:

 

z 2715 1 and z 2715 2.

 

 

 

My question to you is; which version do you have?

 

A ) Without extra special thanks

B ) With extra special thanks

C ) I have both

 

And also is the back of the cd z 2715 1 or z 2715 2?

 

 

I wonder which one is more rare! Maybe if we can see how many collectors have which version, we can see which one is more rare!

Well spotted Davey, I had never even noticed it till you told me.

I have both versions and as you said one is marked z 2715 1 and the other one (with the special thanks) says z 2715 2.

 

Will be interesting to see what this poll reveals. We should do things like this more often on here.

The original one I owned was the one with the special thanks, I got the other one about 2 years ago because it came with this plastic display backing.

For my part, I was more interested in that cool item at the time and hadn't been aware that two versions of TLYM 3" existed. So I wasn't seeking out any differences. I had thought that maybe the cd pressing number may have indicated which was released first, but as many of you seem to have the one ending. In 1 on the special thanks version and I had the one ending in 2, then that's not necessarily the case.

Celine Fan 77 and Yentl Anchel, you forgot the numbers. Please could you write number marked on the back side of your CD? I wonder which version of CD do you have? Dave's theory about the editions is very logical and it quite makes the sense. John's copy with special thanks (maybe or rather probably the second edition) includes CD marked as Z 2715 ending in 2, I think that's OK. But I have the one with special thanks ending in 1. By the way, John's plastic display backing is so cute!

Come on collectors, this is one of those things that most of us have at least one copy of. But so far only 9 have voted on this poll. Even though its had over 170 views.

 

Why is this section gone so quiet? I know times are tough financially but that's no excuse for not casting a vote on something we already own, whats the fun in being a collector if we don't show any interest in an item once we have purchased it? Very frustrating, same thing with the awards topic. Where's the passion people?!
