Each time I think about moments like that I cringe and deny it ever happened. cos she gets an award for her Vegas shows.. so it's bound to be something out of Celine...With that in mind, and if they want to be logical to give a taste of Vegas and promote the French album at the same time she'd sing NMQP. Also really disapointing because it sounds like they just give awards to anybody who's available and not because they think they rightfully deserve them. Celine does not need it at all, but I hope that somewhere in someone's heart, here and on the committee, they see the good she has done/continues to do. Yes, this would be an amazing chance, as would so many, to promote an album, English or French, but oh well. She can easily sell well,but they have to generate interest... I think it is the perfect time for doing so since people seem to loveperforming Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore on casting shows etc... It's been 5 years now since she sang it live.Immortality - She probably doesn't even remember having recorded this song.That's the Way It Is - Would be a nice choice, but this song has not received a single bit of attention from her in almost 10 years.A New Day Has Come - After her last time performing this song, I think she is done with it....I'm Alive - I just don't think this would be a suitable song to be performed at the event. So I understand this.To me it is easy - if you are soooo fed up with that song, and I can understand that - either skip it or totally rearrange the song, sing it is in a complete different way, for instance with a piano only version? Is that so hard? That way the song looks a bit fresh to sing again for her. If I see her performing my heart will go on with all the dramatic gestures etc, I just know she is trying hard to come over as singing this live, but she is not and I am done with it. It would be challenging if she for once tried singing it in the original tone once more.
