Although it's short jaunt from LA isnt it? Very quick plane trip. this would be a huge career booster for her. She may even have another top ten single with it! I'd only do it for one or two seasons though. Quote
carmGel55 Posted July 15, 2012 at 06:40 AM Posted July 15, 2012 at 06:40 AM That is not a bad idea at all, IMO, Celine at her stature is very much derserving in such position, though i guess she's not really comfortable "judging" other people's talent. And i agree, it could be a great booster in her career, though hers is really blooming still. If ever she'll be. I will definitely watch the full season weekly! Just a thought, what if she and mariah together as judges??? Quote
CelineAndRene Posted July 15, 2012 at 06:51 AM Posted July 15, 2012 at 06:51 AM American Idol? really? Not that she would be bad.. but she's too big for that. I hate the show with a passion and find it funny how all the initial judges have left/trying to leave. Now they're just trying to fill it with any celebrity they can. (On an unrelated note: I find it hysterical how they're having Britney Spears, the auto-tune queen, be a judge on X Factor... ) Quote "...It's the circle of life. You gotta look forward. Two days during the year there's nothing you can do about: yesterday and tomorrow. Today is a great day." - Celine Dion, People.
PuraVida Posted July 15, 2012 at 08:00 AM Posted July 15, 2012 at 08:00 AM Celine's too big for that show, but that it is an interesting thought. Honestly though, I don't think the public would go for it--despite her being the most popular artist in the world (actual fact)-- just because of the knee jerk reaction so many have to her who say her ballads and her personality make them want to throw up. Her personality might not be as "Hollywood" or "mainstream TV" type, but although she might not have the "heart" to critique others, she certainly has the knowledge (or at least more than Paula, JLO, or Dioguardi had). She should reject any offer if it would harm her ability to perform. She actually still has a career and a growing family that she loves to take care of. Quote
Charlie92 Posted July 15, 2012 at 08:03 AM Posted July 15, 2012 at 08:03 AM I hate the show and I don't see in what way it would be a booster for her career... Quote
QueenCeline87 Posted July 15, 2012 at 09:52 AM Posted July 15, 2012 at 09:52 AM As much as I would love to see more Celine on tv, I don't know if this is the best role , although I think she would make a brilliant judge , she has the talent , knowledge and a great personality. I think it's just the show that I don't like and it might do her career more harm than good, and between that and her Vegas show , it would take her away from the family more and I just don't think that's something she would go for right now as the twins are still quite young!? It's still nice to hear she is being considered tho:-) Quote http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-RQtOAL6F2I/TAZl-_MB2AI/AAAAAAAAAiI/bkJK6a44q3o/s1600/celine-dion-goodbyes-the-saddest-word.jpg
Xpresso Posted July 15, 2012 at 11:11 AM Posted July 15, 2012 at 11:11 AM Well I think it WOULD boost her career and profile in the US.Look what it did for JLO. She's had a few hits since she joined AI. Before that, her songs and movies didn't do well at all.And now, she's surfing on American Idol's "success". It sure wouldn't hurt Celine's career either. Luki Dion Posted July 15, 2012 at 02:00 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 02:00 PM i think this is a good idea..because i really wanted to see celine criticize other singer, and i want to see how celine give her comment about the showmanship and vocal..apart from that, we can see celine often in TV live...heheand i love it!!can't wait...!! Guest Reuben Posted July 15, 2012 at 03:13 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 03:13 PM There are some artists who are far to big and way to talented for something like this, Celine, Madonna, Elton John, Lady Gaga, to name a few. They should go for a former winner. Quote
nuts2you Posted July 15, 2012 at 03:23 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 03:23 PM Guy, you have to consider that you would have to travel to different places, I realy can't see her doing that with RC in into everything now, plus the little one, ,And her show in LV,, I think it goes until may I thing, she just to busy, Dont forget she is Mom first--, career, Quote
angelil78 Posted July 15, 2012 at 03:48 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 03:48 PM Please no don't do that Céline. I think AI dying anyway ... Quote
CelineTheBest5 Posted July 15, 2012 at 04:19 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 04:19 PM (edited) Affffffff no! Celine has many great things to do besides it! She has 2 albuns to release, many tv shows to do and her Vegas show! Besides that, AI is for someone who doenst have anything to do in her/his carreer! I think she wont accept this invitation because of her schedule. Edited July 15, 2012 at 04:20 PM by CelineTheBest5 Quote https://www.facebook...linedionbrazil/

MrTim212 Posted July 15, 2012 at 05:18 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 05:18 PM No. Definitely not. The only reason why AI was a career booster for JLo was because she is still releasing "hip" music and is still seen as "current." I think they need to have a 3 judge panel of former contestants (i.e. Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert). They SHOULD however do a Céline week and have her be a mentor. WindyCityCelineFan Posted July 15, 2012 at 05:35 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 05:35 PM It is quite interesting that her name has been tossed out there...perhaps she is pondering it as we haven't seen her concert dates released for the rest of the year and early 2013 yet. Quote

Yes I totally agree celine week and her as a mentor would be perfect , it would get her music out there and it would be great promotion for the 2 new albums! Even celine week on x factor USA or UK would be awesome :-) Quote http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_-RQtOAL6F2I/TAZl-_MB2AI/AAAAAAAAAiI/bkJK6a44q3o/s1600/celine-dion-goodbyes-the-saddest-word.jpg
duri Posted July 15, 2012 at 06:33 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 06:33 PM No. Céline is too big as many people here wrote, she is too big star to do something like that, so please no, even if she could have new hit because of this, no and I don´t think she would like to do it, she has so many thnigs to do, Vegas contract, 2 newe albums, promotour for albums and her family as she always talking it´s her priority nb.1 so I don´t see any sense do something like this and also I think she is not that type of person to be jury. Peppercorn1991 Posted July 15, 2012 at 07:51 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 07:51 PM I like the idea, but does celine have enough attitude to be a judge? will celine really want to upset people, telling them they are rubbish. Celine is too nice, who knows we might see another side to her, a more spunky, firm celine, Celine would get lot of promo from this, thats for sure! kev x Quote

bgcalde Posted July 15, 2012 at 09:16 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 09:16 PM I think Celine and her team would only consider it if it was a really big paycheck, which given the ratings last season I don't think they would be able to afford her. Celine might not be as mainstream popular right now but honestly if she wanted more money she could just do a little tour in Europe or other places she hasn't visit like Latin America and made even more money....so I don't it's happening. Mariah on the other hand might be more willing... Quote
celine_rox Posted July 15, 2012 at 09:56 PM Posted July 15, 2012 at 09:56 PM I think they should cancel American Idol. It's about time. Quote

browseceline Posted July 16, 2012 at 03:23 PM Posted July 16, 2012 at 03:23 PM according dutch newspaper telegraaf Mariah Carey is too expensive;Nick Canon, Mariah's husband said: "I don't know if they can afford Mariah, if Jennifer lopez demanded 20 million dollar, Mariah will probably demand twice as much" So.. Celine and Mariah in one jury? don't think so. Btw , what do you think Celine and her team ask for this?I am sure it will be a lot too. And apart from that, Celine does not want to hurt anybody and hurt anyone's feelings. I don't think she has what it takes for being a jurymember here. CelineAndRene Posted July 18, 2012 at 04:26 AM Posted July 18, 2012 at 04:26 AM I think they should cancel American Idol. It's about time. +56465131651651 Couldn't agree more. It's getting scary. I hope this doesn't come true... They played "TTWII" on the radio here today, and the DJ said during the intro to the song, "Well, here's a lady whose name has been floating around to be the next judge on Idol, here's Celine with, TTWII"... I pray this doesn't happen. I hope Rene knows it's no honor in any way accepting an invite like this. The show is a downhill snooze-fest with mediocre talent at best.
