celine5-5 Posted July 6, 2005 at 07:45 PM Posted July 6, 2005 at 07:45 PM While listening to AND...LIL and other live albums, I noticed that some of the songs she did were a half step to a whole step lower than on the original studio recordings. I noticed that "IDAN" was sang in B-flat, rather than B, and that "BYLM" was sang in C rather than D-flat. I've noticed other songs like this too. I think they do this to make the music easier to play for the musicians. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know if she does it in any other songs in AND? Quote
nano Posted July 6, 2005 at 08:33 PM Posted July 6, 2005 at 08:33 PM I think it's normal that artists sing songs in lower keys...especially if the song has lot of high notes...singing the entire concert in orginal (higher) keys could harm artist's vocal chords..so that's why Celine sings some songs in lower keys... Mozinha Posted July 6, 2005 at 09:38 PM Posted July 6, 2005 at 09:38 PM Singing in the middle of the desert for 5 night a week she MUST lower the keys. AllCeline Posted July 7, 2005 at 02:29 AM Posted July 7, 2005 at 02:29 AM Well, Celine's performing a LOONG show, five nights a week! So in some songs, maybe it's "easier" on her voice. That way, maybe it'll be easier for her to perform powerful songs like "I Surrender" Quote http://i34.tinypic.com/9ybm.jpghttp://i54.tinypic.com/o56kr5.jpghttp://i54.tinypic.com/vhqqu9.jpg>> flickr | WordPress <<Celine Dion needs another ANDHC/OH album! No more Taking Chances--just do what works!

Clari Posted July 7, 2005 at 07:55 AM Posted July 7, 2005 at 07:55 AM Yeah I think she sings in a lower key, but it sounds so beautiful in the show. It's better for her not to strain her voice so much since it's almost every night. Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/CelineSmiles/hamster.gif CLARiSSA Xxx... "Music touches every sense.
