Yangedd Posted June 29, 2012 at 01:03 PM Posted June 29, 2012 at 01:03 PM Hi everyone, Edd here. I was just wondering if anyone else suffers from Anxiety? I have it really bad and was on a lot of sedatives, but am currently being weened down from them and sometimes find it difficult to cope. I have cut out wine and caffine, and now my levels are sky high. I went from 20mg of Valium a day to 3mg twice daily and sometimes (Like today) find it very difficult. Anyone else suffer from this, and if yes, do they have any coping tips? I am currently listening to Celine to calm myself because I have already taken Valium and I am not due more until this evening. I am also on Zyprexa and Zispin. Quote http://thelavalizard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/celine-dion-quebec-thelavalizard.pngYou Loved Me Back To Life, Life!
caitlynceline56 Posted June 29, 2012 at 10:29 PM Posted June 29, 2012 at 10:29 PM I have anxiety...not bad enough to need sedatives, but bad enough that I am constantly worrying about something. It really takes a toll on the body and the mind. My anxiety also causes me to get sad and depressed (I've been on an antidepressant for 3 years). I listen to Céline (and other singers) to calm myself down as well - music is very therapeutic in that way. Quote "The measure of love is to love without measure." AtitanicfanofCelineDion Posted June 30, 2012 at 01:41 AM Posted June 30, 2012 at 01:41 AM I do. I have trouble with it to . I freak out about change. Even good stuff makes me really nervous. I take lexapro and propanolol to deal with it. Yangedd Posted August 17, 2012 at 11:34 AM Author Posted August 17, 2012 at 11:34 AM I am now on Lyrica for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. They are a replacment for valium and are working well. I find I no longer worry about things like death, financal worries ect. I need to take them every few hours to keep the panic and anxiety away. ashleylovesceline Posted October 5, 2012 at 04:36 AM Posted October 5, 2012 at 04:36 AM Oh yes. I've always felt like I was born with the worry gene or something. I cannot calm down... but only when it comes to serious things. Or things or situations I have no control over. I make myself sick over it... I wish I knew how to control it. Quote
Modesta Posted October 5, 2012 at 05:14 AM Posted October 5, 2012 at 05:14 AM Generalized anxiety disorder + depression here I've been suffering from this ever since I was a young child, diagnosed for about 6 years. I was the top of my class in high school, but this disease has been a major block in my university/ polytechnic studies. Reoccurring depression always makes me quit/ change faculties So far I've studied English, Molecular biology and the latest was nursing. And all of them I've quit, because I've had so bad anxiety/ depression episodes that I've felt I can't go back anymore. Just started my sixth year in therapy, I have sessions three times a week - though this week I have 5 sessions, because I just had a really bad anxiety/depression bout and got a bit self-destructive However, this last pit I fell into induced a major break through in therapy, so maybe there's hope for me yet.. Modesta Posted October 8, 2012 at 11:58 AM Posted October 8, 2012 at 11:58 AM Anxiety levels hitting the roof here http://cosgan.de/images/smilie/traurig/d035.gif I was supposed to have a therapy session today, mut for some reason I had the time wrong in my calendar. Now I feel guilty for screwing up and making my therapist wait in vain, and sad because I really need my therapy sessions to keep sane. *sigh Quote
caitlynceline56 Posted October 17, 2012 at 11:09 PM Posted October 17, 2012 at 11:09 PM I've been having recurring anxiety/depression bouts too. Like now for instance! I can't stop worrying about everything, even the silliest things, and I'm having trouble sleeping. My mom has been saying for a couple of years that she thinks I have Seasonal Affective Disorder, and I'm starting to think she might be right. My mood is always more unstable in the fall and winter. brujocrow Posted August 15, 2013 at 03:10 AM Posted August 15, 2013 at 03:10 AM sorry to hear that. It's hard to say what works for someone else. Aside from any prescription: I have success with Calm Magnesium supplement. Chamomile tea (it may make you sleepy). A spoon full of honey works for me. There are supplemental treatments I have tried, for getting at the "root" of some of my anxiety. E.M.D.R. worked wonders for me. Keep trying above all and good thoughts. Daysleeper Posted April 24, 2018 at 03:51 PM Posted April 24, 2018 at 03:51 PM Hi everyone! I just found this topic so I thought it's maybe better to post here rather than opening a new one. I was wondering if there is anyone who is dealing with low-grade depression also known as Dysthymia? I need some some help and informations. Quote
