Yangedd Posted June 27, 2012 at 01:17 PM Posted June 27, 2012 at 01:17 PM What do you think are Celine's best duets live? For me it has to be: Blueberry Hill (With Johnny Halliday)The Prayer (With Josh Groban)I Believe In You (With Il Divo)When I Fall In Love (With Anne Murray) So, what are your favourite live Duets? Please feel free to name them here in this thread Quote http://thelavalizard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/celine-dion-quebec-thelavalizard.pngYou Loved Me Back To Life, Life!
Tyler1991 Posted June 28, 2012 at 02:41 AM Posted June 28, 2012 at 02:41 AM I absolutely adore "Can't Live With You, Can't Live Without You" the live version during the Unison Concert. Also, the ONLY time she's ever made a solo song a duet that I approved of and thought sounded good was "The Reason" at Divas Live with Carole King. That was an amazing performance. 1 Quote

Yangedd Posted June 28, 2012 at 09:01 AM Author Posted June 28, 2012 at 09:01 AM Some very good choices there I also love the "T'Aimes Encore" duet with JJ Goldman (I think it was him) from some french show when she ended the song with a big note that was different from the way she usually ends it. I have watched that version over and over again just for the ending! Quote http://thelavalizard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/celine-dion-quebec-thelavalizard.pngYou Loved Me Back To Life, Life!

With Brian or Terry Bradford lol. Terry's voice always made my skin crawl. I'm not a fan of when Celine duets with Barnev either, nor do I like the soul medley in the TC tour. Both of these guys should have just remained as background singers. Bringing them more on the front line, in my opinion is a horrendous idea. Yangedd Posted June 28, 2012 at 09:22 AM Author Posted June 28, 2012 at 09:22 AM I seem to recall Terry singing both "Beauty And The Beast" (Where he slipped up and Celine carried him so it wasn't that obvious) and "When I Fall In Love" with Celine. I always wondered though. Why didn't R. Kelly ever sing "I'm Your Angel" live with Celine? Kelly being a child molester/rapist came out. I don't remember if it was ever proven or not but it was all over the news and Celine's team distanced themselves from him pretty quickly. Quote

Mary17 Posted June 29, 2012 at 07:02 AM Posted June 29, 2012 at 07:02 AM To my mind it will be definitely the duet with the Bee Gess, they sang magically, Love to sing it everytime I feel sad, then I can remember Celine's collaboration with Kenny G, and their song Halfway to heaven, it sounds so sweet, tell him is a real treasure, the prayer, can't live with you can't live without you, beauty andthe beast, sous le vent.. aah)) I just can't stop.. ^-^ *)) Quote

A new day... Posted July 1, 2012 at 05:30 PM Posted July 1, 2012 at 05:30 PM I love the live version of "Immortality" feat. the Bee Gees. By the way, I don't think "I believe in you" has ever been sung by Celine LIVE. Quote

Caledor Posted September 12, 2014 at 06:37 PM Posted September 12, 2014 at 06:37 PM Me too I really love it! But I actualley hate the duet she did back in 2002 in "Céline Dion à tout prix" French TV show, when she sang "L'envie d'aimer" with Daniel Levi.I tried to watch it again today, I really can't. I used to like his voice, but on this TV show it sounds awful, and Celine's voice was (my point of view) not the best. Quote 29.11.2013 Paris Bercy: Sans attendre... the wait is over !

I used to like his voice, but on this TV show it sounds awful, and Celine's voice was (my point of view) not the best. Yeah -- looking back at that era of Celine's voice, it truly was at its weakest. It still sounded fantastic, of course, because it's Celine Dion! But I think Vegas was very grueling and stressful and that manifested in how she sang for a few years. She also said that she focused more on putting on a "show" than sounding her best during that time. That seemed to last until around 2006. By the time she got really comfortable with A NEW DAY... and its schedule, she started to sound like herself again but it was hazy there for a while. Then with CELINE in Vegas, she sounded so much like her 90s self again. I was astonished! Vocals totally depend on stress levels and schedule for her, it seems. Quote
