Hi, I have the demo of the song "Would I know" by Celine. I know it was recorded during the All The Way sessions and never made the cut. But I don't know much else. Im sure fans here know more about it and I would love to know too. Like who wrote it? Why was it rejected? And is the arrangement official? I know its a demo but to me it sounds like it would fit very well on Lets Talk About Love, it has that type of sound. I also know it was coverd by Charlotte Church and her version is just not as good.

 

By the way I have it on an album of rare or unreleased Celine songs which I love. I called the album Would I know. Here are some of the tracks.

Sorry I know that a lot of the songs were released on other albums by other artists. And some were included in the New Day CD or were songs from movie sound tracks etc. But what I meant was that they were from all over the place. And I put them on one CD to have them as a collection of songs. It filled the gap when Celine was taking forever to release new material a while back. When I say rare I ment to non die hard Celine fans. I had it playing in the car a few times and some people and friends actually thought it was a real album and asked about it. I have had to make copies a few times.

 

I never knew that Diane Warren wrote Would I know. Thanks for the info. I wonder if it had to do with money, I read in another thread that Diane wont work with Celine anymore over a royalty dispute with Rene?

"LOSSLESS" means CD quality or better (eg. studio quality) but definitely NOT mp3, wma, etc.

 

 

by the way, maybe somebody have "Would I Know" in lossless format? (.flac or .ape) because I collect Celine Dion RARE SONGS in lossless format. Thank you very much.

"Nothing Sacred Anymore" was definitely available on a demo CD too but who knows where that ended up and we only have the poor quality mp3.

 

I have "Listen To Me" on the original "Celebration" cassette but true, I never heard of a CD where we could find this song, too bad...

Hope they'll release that one on a compilation one day, like they did with some quite rare songs they've released on "On ne change pas" compilation (although all of them were previously available on some out-of-print CDs).

As far as I recall, we only got a poor quality version of Would I know and Is Nothing Sacred Anymore was never seen on any cd. Only fake promo's with the IACBTMN cover, but those were not real.

Davey, I know the "Is Nothing Sacred (Anymore)" promos on eBay etc. are all fakes but there certainly must exist a real demo CD - otherwise where does that crappy ripped mp3 comes from?

 

About "Would I Know", I have a 112 kbps mp3 and also a 256 kbps mp3 of that song, both from this forum where the 256 kbps version has been announced as HQ back than. Personally I don't think it's very good quality but it's better quality than the "Is Nothing Sacred (Anymore)"

Or was that demo CD with "Would I Know" also a fake after all?...

 

I wonder what's celinedionpt and how can they possibly have really HQ versions of the 3 songs?!? O.o

So interesting! I did the same thing back in 2006 when I required a bunch of tracks that were old/on other CD's that I never bought, etc. I made myself a CD the summer of 2006 that had this tracklist:

I became obsessed with 3 songs in this order: Is Nothing Sacred Anymore (that summer), Faith (that fall - because I never like it on One Heart but LOVED the remix) and Would I know (winter of 2007). I considered them as 3 singles off the album - LOL
